Josie Gibson is left in tears after taking a tumble while training for The Jump as Bradley Wiggins takes to the slopes for the first time
The reality TV star was comforted by her trainer as she hit the snow hard
JOSIE Gibson might be starting to wonder what on earth she has let herself in for after she took a tumble while training for The Jump.
The reality TV star, 31, took a tumble on the slopes today and had to be comforted by her instructor as she broke down in tears after the fall.
Josie, who has needed one-on-one tuition during training for the celebrity reality TV show, left the slopes shortly after to recover.
It’s not the first time she has fallen over during training, after she suffered the first injury of this year’s series when she slammed onto her back while on a practice slope in London.
During the final practice day before she flew out to Austria to get on some real snow, she lost her balance, Josie went speeding down the slopes as she struggled to pull her skis out from under her.
But the former Big Brother winner is determined to make a go of it and master the sport with a source telling us: “Josie has been training hard for the show and really throwing herself into it.
“She’s been having ski lessons to try and make sure she doesn’t embarrass herself on the slopes and she’s really taken to it.”
She’s certainly making new friends after tweeting how much she was “totally in love with my The Jump family”, especially her co-stars Mark Dolan and Louis Smith.
And a few days ago she posted a video to her page showing her and rugby star Gareth Thomas larking about in the snow.
Meanwhile, as Josie was recovering from her tumble, gold medal-winning cyclist Bradley Wiggins was snapped for the first time on the slopes.
He wasn’t hard to miss in his bright yellow jacket and he appeared to be unscathed after his practice as he walked back to base clutching his phone.
It was revealed this week that most of this year’s show won’t be filmed live in order to reduce the chance of celebs being injured on air.

Most of it will be recorded because bosses are keen to avoid a repeat of last year’s show during which nine celebrities were badly injured.
