YEARS & Years' Olly Alexander has confirmed his UK Eurovision song will be called Dizzy, but it’s not just the song that’s got his head in a spin.

The chart-topping star debuted a clip of the song on Instagram today, showing him singing it in London ahead of its release on March 1.

But The Sun has been told that he and his team have been scrambling to work out how to promote the tune, after his record label Universal banned its music being used on TikTok last week.

The label and social media giant came to a stalemate over fair payments, but it has sent Olly and his crew back to square one when it comes to rolling out the track.

A music insider said: “An entire campaign had been planned for the song around TikTok and now the whole thing has been scrapped because the song can’t be played on there. It’s ridiculous.

“There are fears it could impact his popularity as it will stop the song reaching as many young fans in the lead-up to the contest in May.”

Last year’s winner Loreen and runner-up Kaarija from Finland gained massive momentum on TikTok ahead of the final in Liverpool.

Olly will head to Malmo in Sweden to compete in the annual contest in May.

Speaking about his involvement in the competition, which is watched by 160million people annually, he said: “I’ve loved watching Eurovision ever since I was a little kid and I’m beyond excited to be taking part next year.

"As a young boy I always looked forward to this incredible event of unbridled joy, the wonderfully chaotic mix of musical styles, theatrical performances, heartfelt emotion and humour.

"I really can’t believe I’m going to be a part of such a special legacy and fly the flag for the UK in the gayest way possible, it shall be an honour!"
