Lauren Goodger’s ex-boyfriend cleared of assaulting former Towie star after baby daughter’s funeral
LAUREN Goodger’s ex-boyfriend has been cleared of attacking the Towie star after their baby daughter's funeral.
Charles Drury, 25, was accused of assaulting Lauren, 37, on August 4 - the day after tragic Lorena was laid to rest.
He also allegedly coercively controlled the reality star over two years from 2020 to 2022.
Drury appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court today where it was revealed Lauren has withdrawn her support for the prosecution.
Prosecutor Robin Griffiths said: "The Crown is going to offer no evidence. I invite your honour to direct not guilty verdicts be entered."
Drury had previously pleaded not guilty to ABH and engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour and was due to stand trial next month.

Recorder James Lofthouse, told Drury: "That brings these proceedings to an end.
"Not guilty verdicts will be recorded. You are free to go."

He was accused of coercive and controlling behaviour between August 1, 2020, and August 5, 2022.

The indictment alleged he "engaged in behaviour that was controlling or coercive which had a serious effect" on her.
It also stated he "caused Lauren Goodger to fear, on at least two occasions, that violence will be used against" her, "at a time when he knew or ought to have known that the behaviour" would have a "serious effect" on her.
Baby Lorena tragically died on July 8, 2022, after she was born with her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck.
The reality star shared the devastating news of their daughter’s passing on Instagram at the time.
Alongside a black-and-white photo of her holding her baby’s hand, Lauren wrote: “Lorena R.I.P 08.07.22.
“She was the most beautiful healthy baby I’ve ever seen just like her sister @babylarose.x … words can’t describe as a mother losing your baby that I carried for all these months perfectly and gave birth too for my angel to be taken from me."
Lauren and Drury still meet to co-parent their daughter Larose.
They dated for two years after announcing they were together on Instagram in October 2020.
The pair split in 2022, four months after welcoming Larose into the world.
