Celebrity Big Brother bosses hit back as they’re forced to defend actions after fans demand to know why Ray J’s exit and Nicola McLean’s chat with psychiatrist are not shown on TV
Ray J dramatically left the house on Tuesday as he was taken to A&E for tooth pain
CELEBRITY Big Brother bosses have hit back as they’re forced to explain why Ray J’s exit and Nicola McLean’s psychiatry sessions WON’T be shown on TV.
Fans of the Channel 5 show are demanding to show why the juicy moments won’t be aired on Wednesday’s night instalment.
On Tuesday night, producers announced the news of Ray J’s departure to the remaining contestants and said he will not be allowed to return to the CBB house.
The Sun exclusively revealed that the America rapper – famous for having a sex tape with Kim Kardashian – ‘queue jumped a whole waiting room of patients in A&E’ to be treated for TOOTH PAIN.
The 35-year-old – who is reportedly trying to sell his side of the story for £50,000 – later tried to hide his face when he was pictured leaving a dentist surgery in North London earlier today.
News of his shock departure came after fans noticed that the rapper was listed as having ‘left’ the Channel 5 reality show on its official website.
US site TMZ then went on to claim he ‘blacked out’ after suffering intense toothache before being rushed to hospital.
Before he left, Angie Best had chosen Ray J as one of the housemates for her detox challenge which meant he wasn’t allowed to smoke or drink in the house, much to his dismay.
However, the dramatic moments before his exit will not be aired with fans only getting to glimpse him leaving through the Diary Room.
CBB defended it’s decision not to air his departure, exclusively telling The Sun Online: “Not all of the action that takes place in the Big Brother house over a 24 hour period is shown in the daily hour long highlights show.”
Meanwhile, viewers were also left baffled when Nicola McLean’s husband Thomas Williams broke his silence to say she had been in psychiatry sessions all day but again, they weren’t aired.
She later bragged that her other half had given her a “free card” after he “f***ed up so bad”.
Big Brother’s Bit On The Side host Rylan Clark defended the producers’ decision not to air the intimate sessions.
Speaking on This Morning, he said: “Now what I do need to say about that – it’s not my place to say about that, but obviously there is a psych on hand at any time when you’re on any reality show, and at any point you wanna speak to them during the game you can always go to the Diary Room and speak to them.”
Highlighting the how important it is for these sessions to be kept private, he added: “That is something that we would never, ever, ever show as that is something that is very personal and private.
“So to all those people on Twitter going, ‘Why didn’t you show it?’ think! It’s personal of course we’re not going to show it, like we’re not going to show a visit from a doctor if someone breaks their arm.”
A rep for CBB confirmed Rylan’s comments telling us: “We do not comment on housemates’ personal information, that includes any medical information.”
Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight on Channel 5 at 9pm.
