Nick Hendrix is starring as DS Jamie Winter in the hit ITV detective show, but who is he?
Who is Nick Hendrix
Nick Hendrix is an English stage, television and film actor born in 1985 in Ascot, Berkshire.
He made his West End debut in 2012 as Nicholas Beckett in the play What The Butler Saw and has popped up on our screens in various TV series.
He's the newphew of newsreader Alistair Stewart.
What led him to acting?
Hendrix said in an interview with Harrods Magazine; "In no uncertain terms, I realised it's what I was best at. It was the only class where I felt gutted when the bell went, rather than dying to get the hell out."
He had to persuade his parents to allow him to study drama at Exeter as they wanted him get a "proper degree" that he could get jobs from and act on the side.
It worked out well though, as after earning his BA in Drama he was offered a coveted place at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA).
He said; "That is the reason for any break I may have had."
Of his role in Midsomer Murders, he said: "I'm genuinely thrilled to join this bastion of British TV".

What else has he been in?
Nick has had small parts in lots of TV series including The Crown, Call The Midwife, Inspector George Gentley and Black Mirror and he also played opposite Anna Friel in the ITV drama Marcella.
He's appeared in movies too, including Captain America: The First Avenger, the Kray movie, Legend and Suffragette.
As well as What The Butler Saw, he's also trodden the boards on stage as Dickie in The Winslow Boy, and as the lead Prince Digby in The Light Princess.
His role in Midsomer Murders is his biggest part to date and he relishes the prospect of solving cases in the murder capital of the UK.
When he was announced as joining season 19 of the popular series he said; "It's a real privilege to be part of a hugely successful and much-loved show and I am looking forward to stepping into the wonderful world of Midsomer."
Is he single?
Nick Hendrix is in a relationship with actress Jessica Ellerby, who has starred in Benidorm, In The Club and Lovesick.
They've been together for a few years, and according to Jessica's Instagram - wedding bells could be on the horizon.
