Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain denies she’s teaming up with ex-hosts Mel and Sue to create rival show
Rumours sparked after the BBC tweeted saying viewers should 'watch this space' ahead of the show's move to Channel 4
NADIYA Hussain has denied rumours she’s working on a Bake Off rival with former hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins.
The BBC teased the 2015 champ would join forces with the presenters after GBBO’s move to Channel 4 saying viewers should “watch this space”.
But speaking on ITV’s This Morning, Nadiya, 32, said: “That’s a fantastic idea. I would love to work with Mel and Sue and if I was I’d say ‘yes I am’ but I’m not.
“Has there been a phone call? No, there hasn’t, nothing. Honestly, I would tell you if I did, but the idea is fantastic.
"I’d love to do something with them.”

She added: “I think that might’ve meant that we’re all doing separate things.”
Mel, 48, currently co-hosts Let It Shine with Graham Norton, 53, and will team up with Sue, 47, for Let’s Sing and Dance for Comic Relief later this year.
Nadiya signed a deal with the corporation in October to make segments for The One Show and to develop “new projects”.
