What happened to Gavin Rossdale’s team on The Voice 2017? Here’s all you need to know
AFTER making its epic return to our screens with the addition of two brand new faces, The Voice is now gearing up for the final.
Alongside returning judge Tom Jones and veteran mentor Will.i.am Bush frontman Gavin and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson have spun the red chairs - but sadly for Gavin he doesn't have any of his team left in the final.
The show has now reached the final stages and Gavin's first attempt at mentoring this year's hopefuls has seen his team lose out in the semi-finals.
Here's the lowdown...
Who was in Team Gavin for the live semi-finals?
Truly Ford
22-year-old Truly was picked by Gavin to go through to the quarter-final, though fans weren't entirely on-board with his decision.
Many thought that Keziah and Carter belonged in the quarter finals, with one person tweeting: “@gavinrossdale #TeamGavin what a mistake..Truly instead of Keziah and Carter!
Truly had earlier performed a rendition of Lady Gaga’s A Million Reasons.
In the Battle rounds Gavin had also chosen her over Hadleigh when they sang Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac.
Truly sang Dakota by The Stereophonics in her first audition and Tom also turned his chair but Truly opted for Gavin as her mentor.
Gavin has stuck with Truly through the Knockouts and quarter-finals, she was his pick to take through to the semi-final.
Truly's semi-final song was Elastic Heart by Sia.
Max Vickers
Max completely wowed the judges and viewers with his version of Arctic Monkeys' 2005 hit I Bet You Look Good on the Dance Floor.
His performance saw him sailing through after the public voted him in.
He previously won his place in the finals after winning the Battle round against Millicent Weaver.
Max initially impressed Gavin and Tom (who tried to turn but was too late) with You Can Call Me Al by Paul Simon during the audition stages.
The 24-year-old went through to the live finals after Gavin decided Max performed My Favourite Game by The Cardigans better.
After the quarter-final, Max was saved by the public vote and goes through to the semis.
In the semi-final, Max sang Boys Don't Cry by The Cure.
