The Australian pop star was named as the Brits’ Global Icon
KYLIE Minogue is celebrating another money-spinning year after picking her Global Icon gong at the Brits – she s now worth £62m.
The Padam Padam singer, 55, is raking in the cash after new accounts filed by Kylie’s UK parent firm Darenote Limited this week reveal that the her company is valued at £9.6m for 2023 – up from £8.1m in 2022.
That includes cash of £9.3m in ready cash – taking the Aussie star’s wealth to around £62m.
And she has also handed over £1m to the public purse in the form of Corporation Tax in the last three years.
Kylie has shifted more than 80 million records since her singing career began in 1987 and has banked around £30 million from music and touring.
And her prosecco brand has gone global.
She launched the wine three years ago and sales have been sparkling.
The firm that produces his plonk – Benchmark Drinks Limited – has just revealed a massive jump in turnover for 2023 with the brand selling well across the EU and the rest of the world.
It raked in £26m last year – compared to £22m in 2022.
The turnover in the year before Kylie joined was £12m.
Benchmark posted a £4.5m profit for 2023 and annual accounts revealed sales of £20.5m in the UK, £3.7m in the EU and £1.7m across the “rest of the world.
Kylie’s proven to be an astute businesswoman, who has made as much cash from her image as she has with her music.
As well as her wine, she also has a range of bed linen, wallpaper and curtains.
Kylie has also got her own of collection of glasses and sunglasses at Specsavers, a makeup line, a range of perfumes and underwear, and even a £450 Kylie watch.
The Australian pop star, who was named as the Brits’ Global Icon while stunning in a ruffled skirt, velvet corset, and , shared her delight at winning the prestigious award.
She said of her Brits gong: “I’m beyond thrilled to be honoured with the global icon award and to be joining a roll call of such incredible artists.
“The UK has always been a home from home so the Brits have a very special place in my heart. I have some amazing memories from the awards over the years and I can’t wait to be back on the Brits stage.”
The Brits icon award is the highest accolade given by the award organisers and is “reserved for truly exceptional artists”.
In 2021, Taylor Swift became the first woman to win the prestigious award. Previous winners include Sir Elton John, David Bowie and Robbie Williams.
Kylie will be headline BST Hyde Park this summer for the first time in nine years.
