George Michael’s ex Fadi Fawaz calls in a celebrity bodyguard following the backlash after the star’s death
GEORGE Michael’s on-off boyfriend Fadi Fawaz has called in a celebrity bodyguard following the backlash after the star’s death.
Fadi, 43, held secret talks with top protection firm Warlite Security as George’s “cousin” Andros Georgiou called for answers over how he died.
Warlite’s boss Karl Warren, 50, went for a late-night meeting at Fadi’s flat.
He also urged Fadi to ignore hostility, saying on Twitter: “Don’t listen to these nasty people”.
Karl had previously been a bodyguard to Dead or Alive singer Pete Burns, who died last year.
Karl refused to comment when approached by The Sun yesterday.
But a source said the pair met at Fadi’s flat in London’s Regent’s Park area and added: “It didn’t seem like they wanted to be seen together.”
Warlite’s website says its clients include Coca-Cola, Royal Mail, toymaker Hasbro and crisp giant Walkers.
Karl’s Twitter page describes him as a celebrity bodyguard and shows him with a number of famous names.

They include Olympic legend Lord Coe and former Chelsea team doctor Eva Carneiro but it is not known if they were clients.
Fadi started following him on Twitter and Karl offered his support, telling him: “Don’t listen to these nasty evil people.
"If they had any love and respect for George they would leave you alone. They’re ignorant.”
