Nineties music icon reveals why she’s making pop comeback after 15 years away from the spotlight
A NINETIES music icon is making a pop comeback after 15 years away from the spotlight.
The singer has sold millions of records and won two Brit Awards and two MOBOs during her career.
Now Gabrielle has revealed why now is the time to take her hits back on the road for a huge arena tour.
Gabrielle, 54, has a son, born in 1995, and a daughter who was born in 2003.
And it's because her kids are all grown up now that she can focus on working again.
Speaking to the , Gabrielle said: "I no longer have to rush back for the school run or worry about embarrassing my kids at school.

"Do I feel more comfortable now than ever? 100%. I feel less afraid and more confident in my own skin. I am in my 50s now and I feel like if I don’t learn to love and accept myself now, I never will."
Known for hits including Dreams, Rise and Out of Reach, Gabrielle confessed there was a time she thought she'd never return to the stage.
But now she's back she's got no plans to disappear again.
Gabrielle added: "Performing in arenas again is a professional dream coming true. I would love to have a career like Sir Elton John, who is still performing in his 70s.
"That’s how I see myself. While people still want to see me on stage, I still want to be on stage."
Gabrielle took part in The Masked Singer UK in 2020, where she placed fourth after competing as Harlequin.
