Lauren Goodger insists jailbird boyfriend Joey Morrison isn’t controlling – he just tells her to ‘stick to her diet and gym’ and advises her on ‘the things she talks about’
The former Towie star has spoken out to defend her beau, and claimed he advises her on how to "conduct herself"
LAUREN Goodger has insisted her jailbird boyfriend Joey Morrison isn't "controlling", after her friends shared their concerns during an emotional TV appearance last night.
However, Lauren has insisted it's not the case, but he DOES advise her on "how to conduct herself" in regards to her "gym and diet" routine, as well as the "things she talks about".
Sharing a montage of photos of Morrison, she addressed the claims her man is "controlling", and wrote: "That's not been said in a bad way but in the way he wants me to conduct myself with regards to the things I talk about and telling me to stick to the gym/diet etc.
"Which I actually find encouraging. He is not controlling as in I am not allowed to do things."
Lauren also insisted she is not "glamorising crime" by dating him.
She added: "I am also NOT IN NO WAY justifying he's crimes or saying they were acceptable, crime is not acceptable and being in prison is not glamorous or a good thing."
Lauren went on: "I mean it in the context of he commited (sic) a string of drug related offences in 2008 and 2009 over 7, 8 years ago and he has served he's punishment (sic) by way of being there since September 2009. He is out this year. Also when I explain what he is in prison for its not that what he's in for is good but I'd rather him be judged for what he did."
Defending her man, she concluded: "Yes crime is wrong, but I also believe people make mistakes and deserve second chances and I hope I don't have to talk about this again. I also receive a lot of messages from girls in a similar situation that feel they are being judged by standing by someone away, when actually it shows loyalty and being a forgiving person."
Lauren later shared a loved up selfie with her boyfriend, taken when he was on day release, and followed it with one of her as she thanked fans for their support.
This time she wrote: "Thank you all for watching me #laurengoodgerintherapy tonight was very hard for me to do .. I never open up And i am closed about my life and alot of things ..

Speaking on In Therapy, Lauren and her pals were quizzed about her relationship with Joey – who’s set to be released in 21 months.
Her friend Jodie Wheeler said: "He's very controlling, he wants her to do things she wouldn’t do for somebody else. But she likes that.
"He’s a bad boy and he gives off this bad boy image – he’s a good looking boy and he’s in prison."
Lauren then said: "This is the weirdest relationship ever but it’s exciting and I think that’s what I like.
"It is different and he’s my type and everything."
Another friend of the star, Lisa Sourou, added: "I was shocked to be honest with you, I said to her, ‘What are you doing Lauren? you’re crazy'."
But Lauren explained: "I just like his mentality and the excitement of it."
The star's friends admitted their worries for the reality stunner, and insisted she could be going on other dates in this time.
Jodie later said: "She’s got a lot to give and the only date she’s going on is twice a week to visit a prison that’s two hours away."
While Lauren went on: "People will say to me, why do you like bad-boys but they don’t know what a bad boy is."
