CELEBRITY Big Brother star Kim Woodburn is “out of control” - but will be devastated by the public response to her time in the house, according to a former colleague.
Mike Chalut, who co-hosted her Canadian reality show Kim’s Rude Awakenings from 2007 until 2009, believes she would be horrified by the public reaction after she was branded “crazy” by viewers following a row with housemates Nicola McLean, 35, and Jamie O’Hara, 30, in Wednesday’s episode.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun’s Bizarre column, he said: “I think one of the biggest misunderstandings about Kim is she’s very shy. And she’s very sensitive. She just really wants what’s right in the world.
“I was reading people on Twitter calling her insane. Kim’s not insane.
“I think she’ll be really sad. She’ll be sad because she’s like anybody, she just wants to be loved.
“She’s just so passionate about the truth and making sure that everybody is happy.
“I worry about what’s going to happen to her when she comes out of the house because she’s not crazy.
“She’s just very passionate but very, very kind. She just calls people out on their s**t.”
Security was forced to intervene following the row on last night’s show and she was made to sleep in a room separate to her housemates.
But Mike, who now works as a radio DJ, insisted she isn’t acting up for the cameras and has always been the same.
He explained: “Kim Woodburn’s out of control. I love it.
“She takes no prisoners. You could be her best friend today but if you do something wrong tomorrow, she’s going to call you out on it and you’re gonna feel it.
“There’s no, ‘I’m your best friend until the end of time.’ She’s gonna say, ‘Hey, listen, this is what’s going on.’ She’ll crucify you.
“You have to understand, she’s been cleaning up s**t her entire life. This woman literally cleaned up s**t until she was 60 years old and then she got her big break.”

But she also showed her stern side on the set of her Canadian show, where Mike said she made it clear to everyone that she was “the boss”.
He said: “If she didn’t like the way I was behaving on set, she would tell me, she would tell the producers, she would tell the cameramen – she would tell everyone. She would crack that duster and man oh man we all paid attention.
“I was in awe of the way she controlled the set. You don’t mess with the queen of clean. I absolutely adored working with her. I was afraid of her, but I adored her. Kim was the boss.”
Recalling one incident, Mike said she even had a whole episode of the show cancelled once because she was so angry with the family they were dealing with on the programme.
Speaking from Canada this morning, he said: “Kim’s very passionate about animals and I was the lifestyle expert on the show and Kim was the queen of clean, so we tackled families together.
“We went into one house and the animals were out of control."
He added: "There was like, six dogs, four chinchillas, five cats and we went into the house and it was supposed to be an episode about trying to snap this family out of it but she was so upset about this mistreatment of the pets that she shut down the whole production.
“She was like, ‘This is disgusting. We have to worry about the pets right now. Everyone out!’ then disciplined the family. She was like, ‘Shame on you for treating animals like this. Those innocent little animals. You stupid, stupid people.’
“She shut the entire episode down. That was an entire show that she was just like, ‘No.’ But she’s right. You’ve got to respect her because she calls people out on their s**t.”
