EASTENDERS viewers were left in shock on Thursday night after scenes between Whitney Dean and her father-in-law Mick Carter hinted that the pair might be about to become too close.
The chemistry between Danny Dyer’s character and Shona McGarty’s Whitney was undeniable after she turned to him for support following a fight with Lee (Danny Boy Hatchard).

After a late night chat in which she confessed her marriage troubles to Mick, Whitney ended up staying at the Vic, and despite the landlord making a bed on the couch, there was enough tense eye contact and lingering looks to make fans think they are on the verge on having an affair.
And viewers are not happy.
One threatened to boycott the soap, tweeting: “If Whitney and Mick have an affair, I will never watch @bbceastenders again. DON'T YOU DARE!!! @EastEndersPress #eastenders”

And someone else added: “please don't tell me something's gonna happen between Whitney and Mick, I'm not here for this #EastEnders”
One joked: “It's about time Whitney moved on from her whiney husband. His father was the obvious choice #eastenders”
While another gave Whitney a virtual high-five: “I can see what's gonna happen here ! Whitney is gonna get it on with @MrDDyer the lucky b**** 😳😂 #eastenders”
