She also claimed she should STOP working with the ex newspaper man after a live blood pressure reading showed her levels to be higher than average.

The telly favourite looked truly shocked as GMB’s Dr Hilary Jones measured her levels with the help of an arm wrap device.

When she was told her results were 133/82 - with the latter number measuring 80 in normal readings - she squealed at Piers: "For my health, I should stop working with you!"

Her cheeky co-host retorted: "You're fine - working with me is clearly beneficial to your health."

Yet it could be because of outspoken Piers' controversial comments and persistent butting in when she tries to interview the show's guests.

Yesterday, we reported how she hit back at internet trolls who accused her on not challenging her co-host on his controversial views on the weekend's Women's March - with his comments cited by actor Ewan McGregor as the reason he refused to be interviewed on the programme.

She took to her Twitter page to insist she was "not a super hero".

Today live on air Piers announced: “Ewan McGregor, who was supposed to be our big guest, just tweeted this.

“Was going on Good Morning Britain, didn’t realise @ was host. Won’t go on with him after his comments about .”

Clearly infuriated by the no show, Piers raged: Because I didn’t think the march was a fantastic thing, because I didn’t agree with the politics of it, Ewan McGregor, who is an actor, who was here to talk about a movie, has decided he can’t come and talk about his movie, which I think is a shame.

“And kind of plays into my view maybe actors should stick to talking about films and not get whipped up about politics that is not their game.”

Shortly after the breakfast programme finished Susanna took to Twitter to re-Tweet Ewan's message and muse: "Such a shame.

"Challenge views where there's difference. Would have liked to see that debate on air - it's an important one," followed by the hashtag #womensmarch."
