Who is CeCe Sammy? Eurovision: You Decide judge, singer and vocal coach – all you need to know
EVERY year nations come together to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest, and 2017 is no different.
The competition has rolled around again this year and the UK is set to send off a new entry in the hope of taking the top spot.
This year, the UK’s entry to the 2017 Eurovision contest will be picked in a national final, Eurovision: You Decide, which will air on the BBC Two on January 27.
One of the judges on the show will be CeCe Sammy - who will work alongside singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor and choreographer Bruno Tonioli to choose the act who will represent the UK.
But who is CeCe Sammy and what is her background? Here’s all you need to know.
Who is CeCe Sammy?
CeCe Sammy, 39, is an award winning vocal and performance coach who has worked in the industry for 21 years.
She started her career as a backing vocalist for big name artists including Diana Ross, Julio Iglesias and Sting.
In the past, she has performed for the Queen before going on to become a top vocal coach
Now, CeCe works with celebrities and aspiring singers looking to break into the industry.
Who has CeCe Sammy coached in the past?
Acts she has coached in the past include One Direction, S Club 7.
She's also worked with contestants on shows such as Pop Idol, The X Factor and American Idol.
Has CeCe Sammy worked with Eurovision before?
Last year, CeCe was the Head UK Eurovision Judge and chaired a team of experts on the UK panel, including singers Bea Munro and Sean McGhee, producer Kiran Thakrar and DJ Seamus Haji.
