The big-money deal – believed to be an extension of his current £2.6million-a-year agreement – will see him continue to front his top-rated chat show, Eurovision and a weekly Radio 2 show until at least 2020.

He also co-hosts BBC1’s Let It Shine.

Graham said: “We’ve just done a deal for another three years, which right now feels like a long time.”

His chat show attracts top A-listers week after week, and Graham admits he now struggles to name his dream guest after managing to bag most of them over the years.

He added: “My go-to answer used to be Madonna but then we got her. We’ve never had Brad Pitt, so let’s name him and see if that comes true.”

The way Graham’s luck is going at the moment, he might just manage it.
