Piers Morgan admits he’s not scared of death threats and wishes the ‘morons’ good luck if they want to take him on
Controversial Good Morning Britain host Piers isn’t bothered by intimidating messages, despite revealing he used to get them ‘every three minutes’
PIERS Morgan has revealed he’s not afraid of death threats, despite admitting he was receiving them "every three minutes" during his gun control campaign on CNN.
When the Good Morning Britain host appeared on stage at the National Television Awards he was greeted by jeers from the crowd – with one man even screaming “shoot him”.
But Piers remained unperturbed and, speaking exclusively to The Sun Online after his appearance, he said: “A few morons shouting at me... what is he going to shoot me with? His d**k?
“Let's be honest now, from what I hear, it's not the biggest.”
He continued: “I honestly don't worry about being a target.
“When I was in America at CNN I did a campaign about gun control and I was getting death threats every three minutes.”
Since joining Susanna Reid on the Good Morning Britain sofa, Piers has divided viewers – with some regularly messaging him vile abuse.
But seasoned reporter Piers is adamant he's not fazed by their insults or intimidating messages.
He added: “I've never had security, I take care of myself.
“If someone wants to try their luck then good luck to them!”
Most recently Piers caused a stir on the show after actor Ewan McGregor didn't turn up.
The T2 Trainspotting star refused to appear following Piers' comments about the women's march against US president Donald Trump.
Afterwards Piers, 51, called Ewan a “paedophile lover” and claimed the star wouldn't come on the ITV breakfast show unless Piers was dropped.
