BEN Shephard had Good Morning Britain viewers in hysterics with his cheeky quips about Great Tits and the pleasures of 'bird watching' during a segment on the Big Bird Watch survey.
The presenter simply couldn't resist giving a saucy connotation to the chat, claiming he would be "looking for Great Tits this weekend."
Fans were quick to pick up on his banter and he was hailed both a "legend" and a "naughty boy" by fans of the ITV show.
one took to Twitter to write: "What's wrong with you this morning lol. I know what you are thinking, you naughty boy," while another added: "@benshephard in his element discussing great tits."
One tickled telly addict wrote: "What a legend, getting great tits on telly sat next to @kategarraway."
Another saw the funny side and jested: "shame on you Ben," followed with Emoji faces with huge smiles.
One seemed to share the same hobby as Ben and posted: "I will also be "bird" watching this weekend! And like you said, looking for "great tits" as well!"
Another quizzed if Ben was using it to impress Kate and wrote: "so tell me about these great tits?' Is that some sort of chat up line ? *laughs like Sid James*"
An eagle-eyed fan copied in Ben's controversial presenter colleague Piers Morgan into his message and quizzed: "Piers, do you think Ben will get away with his "all tits are great tits" jokes this morning on the sofa," while one surmised the banter had "made my morning."
Another simply tagged Ben and wrote: "Hilarious that."
Meanwhile one seemed very irked and posted: "Absolute smut from on there. He should be fired, then jailed. ."
Following on to a segment about the Chinese Lanterns Festival in Chiswick, London, Ben couldn't let things lie and joked: "I bet there's a few Great Tits at that."
Struggling to steer the conversation back to genuine bird-watching, Ben's co-host Kate Garraway squealed: "Ben is beside himself.
"I'm going to have to get some disciplines into this!"
The and urges the UK public to visit their local park or simply sit in their garden and take part this weekend.
The results help to build a picture of garden wildlife across the country.
