Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon wants Darcey Bussell to take over as Head Judge from Len Goodman
The Britain's Got Talent host is voicing her opinion on who should be head judge on her old BBC show
ALESHA Dixon says it’s high time boys were told to fox trot off from the Strictly Come Dancing panel so that ladies can run the show for once.
The talent show judge, 38, thinks it would be an outrage to let retired chief judge Len Goodman be replaced by anyone other than a woman.
Instead, the Britain’s Got Talent judge thinks Darcey Bussell should be given the top spot when the long running BBC show returns in the autumn.
Speaking to the Mirror’s Weekend 3am Column, Alesha said: Women rule the world – so they might as well rule Strictly.”

Her message for girl power continued, as she added: “I think [Darcey] would be great as a head judge.”
However, Alesha also told the column she would not return to the BBC herself, having jumped ship back in 2012 to ITV after Simon Cowell poached her to appear on BGT.
Indeed, BGT series 11 is currently under way with auditions taking place up and down the country.
Returning BGT judge Amanda Holden has been keeping The Sun readers abreast of the latest behind-the-scenes action from the show.
In a column earlier this month described chief judge Simon Cowell as ‘Mr Family Man’.
“I’ve made some amazing friends during my career, but it’s hard to beat my BGT gang,” she wrote for Fabulous magazine.
“It’s all top secret for now, as I don’t want to give anything away before you have a chance to see the show, but trust me, this year is shaping up to be the best ever. I can’t believe I’ve been on the BGT judging panel for 11 years,” she continued.
“It’s been a life-changing job, helping me become a presenter as well as an actress. I don’t want to risk inflating Simon’s ego too much, but I’ll always be grateful he asked me to get on board. He told me this week how special his Christmas in the Caribbean was because Lauren’s son from her first marriage Adam, 10, was able to join them and little Eric on holiday,” she wrote
“It meant a lot to have both boys there. It’s hard to believe that just a few years ago Simon was the archetypal bachelor – look at him now: Mr Family Man,” she said.
