X Factor finalists 5 After Midnight set their sights on Little Mix for single collaboration as they start work on their first album
Despite failing to win the show, the group still managed to bag a recording contract with Simon Cowell's SyCo record label
FIVE After Midnight have revealed they are hoping to bag a single with fellow former X Factor finalists Little Mix to set them on the road to stardom.
The are now lost out to 2016’s crown to , but that hasn’t stopped them dreaming big and even landing a contract with Simon Cowell’s label SyCo.
They are now heading off on the annual UK tour for the – and have admitted that they want to release a single with Little Mix.
Speaking to , the band – consisting of Kieran Alleyne, Jordan Lee and Nathan Lewis – said: “It’s amazing to know we will get to work with a lot of the same team who made One Direction such big stars.”
They added: " would be a dream collaboration.
"It would be really cool to get a girl group and boyband together. Especially when we both dance. We could do a great performance."

Fans of the group won’t have to wait long for original material from the stars – as they have revealed that their album is now currently in production.
Their first single is slated for release in March.
5 After Midnight’s quest for stardom has the full backing of their former reality show rivals – with fellow hopefuls Christian Burrows, Gifty Louise, Peyton and Brooks Brothers among those turning up to cheer them on at a recent appearance at G-A-Y in London.
The trio’s signing to SyCo came after the label ‘snubbed’ the show’s actual winner Matt Terry.
Matt, who walked away the winner of the show after a showdown with Finnish singer - wasn’t signed to Syco after his victory (as is tradition), but instead was given a contract with RCA Records - after it was agreed that the label would be ‘better suited to Matt’s style of music’.
