Speaking ahead of her return as Rosie Webster, Helen said: "Hilariously, they asked me to do The Jump on Channel 4.

"I found that hysterical. I would actually end up dead if I did that show and couldn't believe they asked me! I would be absolutely awful.

"My mum always watches it and she said: 'Oh my god, can you imagine you on this?'"

The Jump, which returns to TV on Sunday, has been dogged with criticism for its dangerous premise – having left several of its former contestants with serious injury after their stint on the show.

Holby City star Tina Hobley, who took park in last year’s show, still has to use a crutch a year on after suffering a broken arm, dislocated elbow and injuries to her knee and shoulder when she attempted a ski jump that the crew had failed to clear.

Olympian Beth Tweddle, ’s Mark Francis and Girls Aloud star all suffered broken bones as well in the 2016 competition – with SEVEN of the twelve overall contestants having to pull out.

Tina then revealed her “shock” after Channel 4 announced the programme – which sees celebrities take on a host of winter sports – would continue despite this.

Helen will be seen back on our screens on February 6 as Rosie Webster and sister Sophie make a comeback to the cobbles.

Kevin Webster (played by Michael LeVell) is overjoyed to see his daughters back in the UK and is thrilled when Rosie emerges from a taxi after Sophie teases that she brought a surprise for him.

However, it won't take long for the pair to fall into old habits and land themselves in trouble -as they find themselves caught in the midst of a drugs scandal.

Helen has revealed that she was excited at the prospect of returning to her regular role after a four year absence from the show.

She has even teased there could be love on the cards the moment her character returns to the ITV soap between Rosie and street heartthrob Adam Barlow (former Celebrity Big Brother star Sam Robertson).

Helen said: “Something might happen with Adam but because he’s a bit of a ladies’ man I don’t know if she’d have an actual relationship with him."

The mum-of-one added to the Daily Star: “I think she’ll have a fling with somebody, but I don’t know who I can place her with.”

Catch Helen's return to Coronation Street on February 6 at 7.30pm on ITV1.
