She's been a household name in Sweden since she won their version of Britain's Got Talent at the age of ten
ZARA Larsson has been a household name in her native Sweden since she was ten years old, when she won the country's version of Britain's Got Talent.
In the last couple of years the talented singer's found international fame, but who exactly is she? Here's what we know...
Who is Zara Larsson?
Zara Larsson, 20, was born in Stockholm, Sweden, on December 16, 1997, to nurse mum Agnetha and father Anders, who is in the military.
She has a younger sister named Hanna, who is also a singer.
Zara has said she knew from a young age that she wanted to be a singer, though she never learned guitar because it would destroy her nails.
She said: "There wasn’t a moment when I woke up and thought to myself, ‘I want to be a singer’. I just always knew"
Did the Swedish pop star win X Factor?
In 2008, when she was ten years old, Zara competed on Sweden's version of Britain's Got Talent, Talang Sverige.
She was crowned the winner after dazzling judges and audiences with her powerful covers of Whitney Houston and Celine Dion songs.
She then travelled to the US to meet with record bosses, but was disappointed to discover they weren't interested.
The youngster went back to Sweden and enrolled in ballet school, but never gave up on her dream of being a pop star, and finally signed a record deal with a Swedish company when she was 14.
The following year her debut album, 1, topped the charts in her home country.
In 2013, Zara signed a three-year contract with Epic Records in the United States — where producers were finally paying attention — and in 2015 she finally got her international breakthrough with two new singles: Lush Life and Never Forget You (ft. MNEK).
Both reached top ten charts across Europe, and the latter went double platinum in the US.
In 2016 she was featured on Tinie Tempah's single Girls Like, and in David Guetta's This One's For You, the official song of UEFA Euro 2016.
Later that year she dropped two more singles, Ain't My Fault and I Would Like, which reached No13 and No2 on the UK singles charts respectively, and in January 2017 she released So Good, featuring Ty Dolla Sign.
Larsson's second album, also named So Good, was released on March 17, 2017. It includes Clean Bandit's new single Symphony, which features Zara guest vocals.
Why did Zara hit the headlines with a condom?
In 2015 Zara hit headlines when she took a photo of a condom on her leg.
The star stretched the rubber all the way up to her knee without breaking it, prompting her to send her fans a message about safe sex.
Posting the picture to Instagram, she wrote: "To all the guys saying 'my d*** is too big for condoms' TAKE A SEAT."
