5ive star Abz makes public plea for £5,000 to pay for his dog’s operation – months after bankruptcy saw him forced to sell his Brit Awards

ABZ Love and his girlfriend Vicky Fallon have set up a Go Fund Me appeal to help raise funds for emergency treatment for their dog, Precious.
The 37-year-old 5ive band member and his songwriter girlfriend has been forced to ask for help in raising £5,000 for their 16-year-old pooch.
“Precious is the kindest, most loving, giving, happy, friendly and sweet 16 year old rescue dog and she is the best, most loyal friend I have ever had,” Vicky writes in the appeal.
“Over the years this dog has nursed me through break ups, heart ache, illness and some really tough times...And all she's ever asked for in return was a walk,” she says.

Vicky explains why Precious needs treatment, writing: “In early December precious jumped down from the sofa awkwardly and began limping and yelping in pain.”
Vicky writes that the dog was misdiagnosed with a shoulder injury but actually a break.
“Due to the misdiagnosis the leg had healed fused in a bent position. To cut a very long (and expensive) story short the vet then attempted to cover up his mistake by telling us that she had osteoarthritis and a severe heart murmur and advised us to put her to sleep,” she said.
Opting not to have her best friend condemned to sleep, Vicky said she and Abz now need help for all the vet bills as the costs racked up beyond their means.
“Precious was not insured at the time of her accident, so all the costs are being put on our credit cards,” she states.
“We don't have much, but not getting her the surgery she needs is simply not an option. We want to do everything in our power to help her walk again. Which is why we are appealing for help to fund the cost of her treatment.”
At time of publishing, the fund raising stood at £355 of the projected £5,000 following 13 donations from dog lovers.
Abz and Vicky live in Wales with four other dogs – Louis, Geo, Cookie and Muffin.
Former chart topping star Abz’s financial problems have been well documented, and back in 2015 reports emerged he was selling his BRIT awards on eBay to escape “poverty”.
The Brit award in question was for the newcomer best pop act 2000 awarded to Abs and his band - with the post stating that the award: "Has been held by Jason Statham although I can not prove this."
