COLEEN Nolan’s son has slammed her critics after the Celebrity Big Brother star was slated online by.
Shane has previously spoken out in support of his mum after internet trolls attacked the Loose Women star for her behaviour in the house.
Following Wednesday night’s episode, Shane logged on to Twitter and told his followers: “I just don’t get why people have to get nasty.
“Fair enough you don’t like my mum but come on, have some respect.”
His followers quickly sent his messages of support, with one writing: “Ignore them lad, they’re obviously not happy in their lives and want to ruin others. She’s awesome mate! Head up.”
Another wrote: “Your Mum is FABULOUS. Ignore the Twitter Trolls dude as they are not worth it. Hold your head up and be proud of your Mum.”
It wasn’t just online trolls Coleen’s had to deal with however, after an explosive run in with her fellow housemate John McCririck.
Shane was involved in a task with his mum last month but Coleen was left sobbing after she was unable to see a video message from him.
He said afterwards: “I would done the same for the record, I can’t imagine how hard it was for her.
“Heartbreaking being 6ft away from her and couldn’t hug her.”
Since his Loose Women star mum went into the CBB house, 28-year-old Shane was been vocal in his support for her – even changing his last name from Richie to Nolan to surprise her.
Shane told Best Magazine: “I spoke to dad [Shane Richie] about it first, and he agreed that supporting my mum was a nice thing to do.
“I was genuinely scared about telling him, but he was cool about it – chuffed, actually.
“I did it for two reasons. Firstly, in support of mum – I’m very protective of her and I always want her to know that I have her back.
“Secondly, it’s because there are no male Nolans about, really.”
He added: “My mum doesn’t know and I think she’ll be thrilled when she gets out of the CBB house and I tell her about it!”
