Who is Brooke Vincent?
Brooke Levi Vincent, 26, was born in Audenshaw, Greater Manchester, on June 4, 1992 (making her a Gemini).
As a child, she took swimming and dancing lessons, but at seven she decided she wanted to be an actress and signed on to an agent.
She made her first TV appearance in 2002, in The League of Gentlemen, as a put-upon child actor.
As a teen, she attended Fairfield High School for Girls, and later she studied drama at college in Manchester.
When she was 16 she worked a Saturday job at a Manchester hair salon, before leaving to pursue Coronation Street full-time.
When was Brooke announced to be on Dancing On Ice?
On October 30, Brooke was announced by ITV as the first contestant to be taking part in 2018's Dancing On Ice.
A tweet with the news read: "Swapping the @itvcorrie cobbles for the ice drink it's @BrookeLVincent!".
Brooke was partnered up with American dancing ace Matej Silecky and the pair made it all the way to the finals.
Who does Brooke play in Coronation Street?
Brooke plays Sophie Webster on the long-running ITV soap, and has been in the role since 2004.
She is the third actress to play Sophie, after Ashleigh Middleton and Emma Woodward.
In 2008 Brooke was nominated for a British Soap Award and an Inside Soap Award for her performance on the ITV soap.
In 2010 Sophie became involved in a relationship with Sacha Parkinson, played by Sian Powers, in Coronation Street's first lesbian storyline.
Sophie went on to have a series of romances with other female characters, but Brooke recently said she would like her character to stay single for a while, as she feels there is too much of a focus on her sexuality.
The actress : "For me personally — I get a bit a***y about this — because I am a lesbian on the show, not everything I do should be about me being a lesbian.
"It should not be brought [up] every time I do a scene. Moving forward as a generation thing, you want it to be normal.";
She added: "There is more to people than their sexuality, so for me I would prefer to do a storyline about my job or my family."
The actress took a three-month break before returning in January 2017, delighting fans as Sophie reunited with her sister Rosie, played by Helen Flanagan, after five years.

Is Brooke Vincent single?
Brooke dated footballer Josh McEachran, who currently plays for Brentford, from 2011 to 2015 (at the time he played for Chelsea).
In the summer of 2016, she confirmed she was in a relationship with Kean Bryan, another footballer, with a snap of the couple on Instagram.
Kean plays for League One side Bury, on loan from Manchester City.
The pair has packed on the PDA and look more loved up than ever, going on a series of romantic dates and puckering up for lovey selfies.
In May last year, they were seen jetting off to a sun-soaked getaway in Marbella together.
