Inside Pretty Little Thing founder’s £20MILLION wedding lasting four days with superstar performance & lavish gift bags
Umar proposed to Nada with a £1.45million diamond ring in 2021
HE is known for his affordable fashion, but there was no expense spared when PrettyLittleThing founder Umar Kamani tied the knot in the South of France on Friday.
The billionaire businessman, 36 — whose brand was acquired by Boohoo in 2020 — splashed £20MILLION on a four-day extravaganza at a five-star hotel as he wed model Nada Adelle, 31.
After a white-themed party on Thursday evening, Umar jetted in Mariah Carey as guest of honour for the black-tie ceremony on Friday.
In a Dior gown, the superstar songstress serenaded the guests with hits including Hero, Always Be My Baby and Emotions.
Earlier in the day, Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli sang as Nada walked down the aisle, before Umar’s close pal, ex-Coronation Street actor Richard Fleeshman performed Moon Dance at the reception.
The guest list at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc included Kate and Rio Ferdinand, Anthony Joshua, Ronan Keating, Tinie Tempah, Christina Milian, Naomi Campbell, Steven Bartlett, and Holly Valance with her property tycoon husband Nick Candy.
Guests were served a three-course meal of burrata and grilled tomatoes with an almond and herb salad followed by roast beef and peppercorn sauce.
The dessert included chocolate mousse paired with vanilla ice cream.
Former Corrie star Ryan Thomas — joined by partner Lucy Mecklenburgh and brothers Adam and Scott — gave a hilarious best man speech.
Each guest was treated to huge gift bags, printed with the monograms of the bride and groom.
The treats were left in their luxury bedrooms at the hotel, where a junior suite is £3,000 a night.
Umar set up PrettyLittleThing in 2012 with his brother Adam.
An insider tells me: “Umar has worked so hard all his career and loves nothing more than to share his wealth with his friends and family.
“He is delighted to have found his match in Nada and wanted to create a huge celebration. He appreciated everyone travelling to France for his big day so wanted to treat them all.”
Umar — who proposed to Nada with a £1.45million diamond ring in 2021 — lavished pals with treatments in the Dior spa.
The Indian wedding took place yesterday while today, guests will enjoy a beach barbecue.
Don’t worry, Umar, I realise my invitation must have got lost in the post . . .
Rita’s mum is NHS hairo
RITA ORA’s psychiatrist mum Vera treated her NHS colleagues to a VIP night out on Monday – at the launch bash for her daughter’s luxury hair product range.
The pop star threw a lavish party in London’s glam Old Sessions House to reveal her Typebea range and Vera decided to give her colleagues at West London NHS Trust’s child and adolescent mental health services a well-deserved treat by bringing them along.
A source said: “The NHS staff had a great evening and enjoyed the free-flowing food and drink.
“Rita was excited to meet them and posed for pictures. She really values the important work they all do and made sure they went home with bulging goodie bags.”
Madge making waves
MADONNA certainly got Into The Groove as she geared up to end her Celebration Tour in spectacular style.
The Queen of Pop took inspiration from her famous cone bra in a custom jewelled dress for a soundcheck on Friday ahead of her free show on the world-famous Copacabana Beach in Brazil last night.
Her raunchy routine also saw her in a green gimp mask before a steamy encounter with a backup dancer on stage.
I exclusively revealed in March that the Like A Virgin hitmaker would be performing at the beach in Rio de Janeiro.
Madonna will be following in the footsteps of music legends including the Rolling Stones, who performed by the sea in front of 1.5million fans in 2006.
If anyone can make history, it’s Madge.
Sisters inspired by Amy
DANNII MINOGUE is back playing Cupid as host of the UK’s first dating show just for women.
And one of the stars of BBC Three’s I Kissed A Girl has revealed that coming out to her family also prompted her two sisters to express their true selves as well.
Amy Spalding said she came out during her second year at the University of Leeds after she did not feel she could while a pupil at £22,000-a-year Claremont Fan Court School in Surrey.
She said: “I grew up in a very conservative part of Surrey and the environment I was in was not very accepting and I never felt comfortable to be myself.
“It is funny as well because my two sisters are also queer and we had no idea that each other was gay.
“I got a girlfriend and broke the news to the family.
“My little sister was a bit like, ‘Oh no, now I have to come out as queer’.
“There were a couple of hesitations from the family but now everyone is so amazing and so supportive.”
Lenn joins Mila high club
LIAM GALLAGHER’s son Lennon is clearly a chip off the old block.
I can reveal he has split from his long-term girlfriend Isobel Richmond and has moved on with a stunning Polish model.
The eldest son of the Oasis rocker and actress Patsy Kensit was seen kissing Polish cover girl Mila Rowyszyn in London’s Soho last week.
Model Lennon wore a £310 MISBHV hoodie while Mila sported vintage Chanel biker boots for their date at celeb haunt Bar Italia.
An onlooker said: “Lennon didn’t hold back by showing his affection for Mila.
“They seemed to have lots in common as they chatted outside over glasses of champagne and a packet of cigarettes.
“Lennon is clearly in love as he wasn’t even fazed when Mila knocked over an entire glass of fizz on his designer hoodie. He even offered her his tracksuit bottoms as her legs were cold sitting outside.”
Caught Live: Cruel Intentions @ Victoria, London
MOVIE Cruel Intentions has been cleverly captured on the West End stage as an eccentric musical including a nostalgic jukebox of Nineties hits.
Running at The Other Palace Theatre, it follows the same story of teen treachery, privilege and virginity, and pops with vocal talent.
Delicious chart bangers include Christina Aguilera’s Genie In A Bottle, TLC’s No Scrubs, NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye, Ace Of Base’s The Sign and Natalie Imbruglia’s timeless Torn.
The source 1999 film material hasn’t aged that well but the production plays for laughs without fully committing to satire and gets away with it due to its peppy tone and fast-paced style.
It’s about having a good night out rather than exploring issues in depth, with little time given to delve before it’s on to the next hit number.
A fun, singalong night that will make you yearn for your school days, albeit briefly.
