Ant McPartlin’s ex Lisa Armstrong ‘heartbroken’ at his new tattoo after he becomes a dad, according to reports
Lisa broke her silence on Tuesday
LISA Armstrong will reportedly be “heartbroken” at ex Ant McPartlin’s new tattoo after he became a dad, according to The Mail.
Ant revealed in a touching post on Tuesday that his wife Anne-Marie Corbett, 46, had given birth to their son.
The star posted a beautiful black and white photo of his first cuddles with his newborn son Wilder, who snuggled into the crook of his arm.
Next to the tot’s tiny hand was a tattoo on Ant’s left shoulder.
An intricate tree tattoo could be seen with dedications to Anne-Marie and her kids, with a shortened version of his wife’s name, Amzie, written at the top of the tree.
The names of his step-daughters, Poppy and Daisy, were also visible and their pet dogs Milo and Bumble.
Ant’s dog Hurley, the chocolate Labrador he shares with make-up artist Lisa, was not mentioned in the tree.
A friend told the : “Can you imagine having to see that if you’re Lisa?
“It must literally have left her heartbroken.
“She tried so hard for their marriage, she tried so hard to save him and when they split she was left without a baby.
“It is so very sad. It broke poor Lisa, she gave him 23 years of her life, practically all of her adult life.
“Then when Ant is to be a dad he didn’t even have the decency to tell her. She had to read about it in the paper.”
On Tuesday, Lisa posted a message on social media about facing “silent battles”.
Her Instagram story read: “Be proud about how you’ve been handling these past few months.
“The silent battles you’ve fought, the moments you had to humble yourself, the times you’ve wiped your own tears.
“Celebrate your strength.”
However, the make-up artist has reportedly left any bitterness from their split behind her, and wants to be able to support Ant and Dec having been a huge part of their careers behind-the-scenes.
Ant's family tree is finally complete
FOR a man whose life has played out so widely on TV – not to mention newspapers, magazines and social media – Ant McPartlin managed to keep one thing quiet: the huge family tree tattoo on his left shoulder.
Unveiling it on Instagram for the first time yesterday – to announce the birth of his newborn son, Wilder – those who know Ant say it reveals all you need to know about the chap.
That behind the TV make-up, celebrity, bulging bank accounts and endless accolades, he is a devoted family man. Family, for Ant, has always come before fame.
Unable to have children for years, he’d have traded any NTA in the world for a world of nappy-changing.
Finally, after years of yearning, there’s a new sidekick in town – and it’s not Declan Donnelly.
Ant’s second wife, Anne-Marie, and the names of the couple’s two daughters from her first marriage, are pride of place in the newly unveiled inking. As are the couple’s two dogs, Milo and Bumble.
With the birth of his first son, Ant’s family tree is now complete.
A source recently told : “Lisa feels she played an important part in their success – she was there from the very start when Ant and Dec first had the idea (for Saturday Night Takeaway).
“Seeing the show come to an end brought back lots of happy memories.
“It also made her realise that she and Ant were really happy and she now doesn’t want her marriage to him tarnished.
“Lisa loved him so much and now she just wants everyone to be happy, Ant included.”
Yesterday The Sun exclusively revealed how Lisa, 47, placed her five-bed mansion she once shared with Ant on the market.
The Sun also revealed Ant and Anne-Marie welcomed their little boy into the world in a posh London hospital.
Anne-Marie gave birth to baby Wilder at the London Clinic on Tuesday – the same hospital where the King and Princess of Wales received treatment for cancer.
Insiders said Ant had made his best pal Declan Donnelly his son’s godfather, after Dec made Ant the godparent to his and Ali Astall’s two children, Isla and Jack.
Since he started dating Anne-Marie, Ant has become a devoted step-dad to her children.
Ant confirmed Anne-Marie had given birth on Tuesday and shared a photograph of him cradling baby Wilder on Instagram.
He said: “Welcome to the family.
“Wilder Patrick McPartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am
“Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!”
Ant and Anne-Marie got together following his split from Strictly Come Dancing make-up artist Lisa in 2017.
