EASTENDERS viewers were left horrified by the bloody school yard fight in tonight's episode and have claimed it was "too violent" for the soap's early evening time slot.
Fans of the show flocked to Twitter to express their shock over the beating of Shakil Kazemi and many suggested it should not have been shown before the 9pm watershed.
Kush’s younger brother – who is played by actor Shaheen Jafargholi – had been humiliated all day in school after Louise Mitchell used Bex Fowler's phone to share his naked pictures with the world.
Shakil was forced into a fight with another boy and came out of it worse.
He was given a vicious beating outside the school and was left covered in blood.

Many viewers were convinced the violence was too strong for EastEnders' 8pm slot - and they went online to express their horror.
One wrote: "#Eastenders fight scene outside school TOO VIOLENT BY FAR !!! Not happy."
Another added: "That was bloody violent for 8.10pm!!! #Eastenders."
A third wrote: "Bit TOO violent on #eastenders then.
"What with that and the shaky camera work it's really off-putting...."
His friend Keegan was absolutely no help as the pressure intensified

Many also addressed their complaints directly to the BBC, with one telling corporation bosses: "@bbc not happy about violence on Eastenders tonight.
"Watershed lines seem to get more blurred every week#eastenders."
And while he suffered abuse from his schoolmates all day, with Louise going as far as to lie about it to protect her illegal activities, Shakil was forced into a fight with another boy and came out of it worse.
Too ashamed to reveal the reason for the fight Shakil was removed from school and placed in isolation.
With Bex devastated over what happened to Shakil, she told Louise how vile she thought she was and headed off home, upset that Shakil had thought she was responsible.
At the end of last year the BBC1 soap had hinted that a storyline based on this theme could soon be happening when Shakil and Bex decided to exchange intimate pictures of one another before having sex.
And on Thursday night the drama kicked off when Louise took Bex’s phone in order to send the pictures of Shakil to mean girls Madison and Alexandra.
A distraught Bex realised what had happened almost straight away and was horrified that her friend had betrayed her.
