Kindhearted Phillip Schofield donates £5,000 to the man who collapsed on This Morning after he’s hospitalised after another fall

His co-host Holly Willoughby also sent a message of support to Sam Carvalho as he recovers in hospital

HOLLY Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have sent their support to man who collapsed on This Morning, after he is hospitalised again following another fall.

Samuel Carvalho, 22, appeared on the show to discuss living with a fainting illness which puts him in danger on a daily basis.

During his time on the show he actually collapsed, leaving the presenters shocked.

Sam has now taken another fall because of his condition which has left him in hospital and with a nasty injury to his head.

Sam needs to raise £20,000 to be able to afford an assistant dog to help him with day-to-day life.

Kindhearted Phil has donated £5,000 and shared the link to his GoFundMe page.

Taking to Twitter the Phil and co-host Holly sent messages of support.

Phil wrote: "Omg @SamCarvalho this is heartbreaking! Stay strong, we WILL raise that money 😌"

While Holly re-tweeted Phil and added: "So sad to hear this... huge love Sam xxx"

Sam was on the show last week to talk about his un-diagnosed illness, which has left doctors baffled, and means he suffers from several blackouts each day.

But after managing to get through the interview without an incident, Holly and Phil returned after the break to tell viewers Samuel had collapsed on his way out.

Phil said: "We're a little bit shocked at the moment because we were just chatting to Samuel who said as he got up – 'thank goodness I managed to get through the interview without passing out.'

"He’s fine, he’s got a paramedic with him now,  but as soon as he left the studio floor, just outside the studio door, he’s absolutely flat out."

Sam had spoken to Holly and Phil about his attempt to regain control of his life by getting Lola, a young Labrador, he was training to sense when he's about to blackout.

He explained when the blackouts began eight years ago: "I was just sitting at home watching TV and my heart started racing – I popped to my GP and a machine showed my heart rate was doing about 270 beats a minutes - it should have been between 60 and 100."

He continued: "Over the years I had one to three blackouts a year - having the same symptoms people have when they're about to faint.

"But about a year ago it went to being a few a day or a few a week - but the symptoms disappeared.

"It's happened when I've been walking down a main road and collapsed and fallen into the road."

His girlfriend Ashleigh later tweeted on his account and told worried viewers: "Samuel did have a collapse whilst leaving the set and hit his head. Paramedics with him is recovering well. - Ashleigh".
