Britain’s Next Top Model has first transgender contestant
The 12 wannabe models vying for the coveted modelling contract have been unveiled for the first time
BRITAIN’S Next Top Model has introduced the 12 women competing to win a coveted contract with one of the UK’s top agencies, Models 1.
The group includes a former pupil of the BRIT school, a self-confessed geek who loves gaming and a transgender beauty queen.
There are just six weeks to go until the competition starts on Lifetime, and this year is expected to be bigger and better than ever.
Former contestant Abbey Clancy is returning to the panel again as a judge, alongside male model Paul Sculfor, photographer to the stars Nicky Johnson and fashionista Hilary Alexander.
The 12 aspiring models will compete throughout the series to land the lucrative contract – working on a variety of professional shoots and taking part in a number of different challenges.
The show has now unveiled all 12 contestants, with transgender 22-year-old Talulah-Eve Brown leading the line-up.
Talulah-Eve Brown
She is a black belt in karate and runs a successful blog when she’s not working as a bar supervisor in her hometown of Birmingham.
Talulah-Eve is well known as campaigner for trans rights and last year made headlines in the UK when she revealed she was planning to freeze her sperm so she could have a baby after she transitioned.
Anastasia Ellis
She’s joined by 20-year-old Anastasia Ellis from Crewe.
Anastasia works as a Henna Artist and describes herself as a “blue-haired hippy”.
Tallulah Bluebell
Former BRIT school kid Tallulah Bluebell from London is feisty and fierce.
The 19-year-old says she hates “body shaming and backstabbers”.
Victoria Clay
English Rose Victoria Clay, 23, is from Liverpool and has a first class degree in print design.
She claims she runs in the same circles as some of the biggest A-list stars including Leonardo DiCaprio.
Bianca Thomas
Bianca Thomas has also joined the line up.
The 22-year-old is from Suffolk and reveals she’s keen to inspire others with tattoos to take up modelling.
Bianca’s sister also applied for the show after being scouted by producers but she didn’t make the cut.

Self-confessed geek and psychology student Chloe Lockley-Middleton is also vying for the contract.
She’s from Huddersfield and the 20-year-old thinks her friendly demeanour will help her stand out in the competition.
Alannag Beirne
Assistant pub manager Alannag Beirne, 22, is often compared to supermodel Gigi Hadid.
She’s from County Kildare and is a keen painter.
Eleanor Sippings
Eleanor Sippings is an Essex girl and a massive animal lover.
The 18-year-old works as a caterer in a zoo and dreams of becoming a Victoria’s Secret star.
Jennifer Malengele
Student Jennifer Malengele completes the line up.
Jennifer, also 18, loves Pokemon and is a keen video-blogger with her own YouTube channel .
