Pop trio became a two-piece for the latest show on their tour Down Under
KERRY Katona pulled out of an Atomic Kitten gig in Australia this week after she was struck down with a mystery illness.
The pop trio became a two-piece when they took to the stage in Perth last night without Kerry.
The singer missed the band's show in the city leaving her bandmates Natasha Hamilton and Michelle Heaton to go on without her.
Kerry, 36, told fans she was feeling "poorly" and praised the girls for going onstage without her.
In a post on Twitter, she wrote: "Wow I hear the girls did a great job at the gig!
"Sooo gutted at how poorly I feel and i wasn't there to see you all!"
Michelle Heaton made up the numbers as Atomic Kitten became a two-piece
Natasha also shared a video of the pair performing without Kerry, revealing they felt as if they had been "thrown in the deep end."
She wrote: "So....thrown in at the deep end tonight but me & Michelle loved tonight's gig in #Perth...
"The crowd welcomed us with open arms... Thank u all so much for making such a memorable night x."
Kerry's illness comes just days after her bandmate Michelle was poorly herself.
The singer was pictured vomiting out of a taxi during the band's tour stop in New Zealand.
The singer appeared to break down in tears after the trio partied at Auckland's Waiheke island, and looked worse for wear as she leaned out of the car door.
They had been partying in the heat hours before, and Michelle's spokesperson told The Sun Online: "This was the day Michelle and the rest of the girls landed in New Zealand.
They landed very early in the morning so after checking in, they all went to the beach, had a few glasses of wine over lunch – too much sun and she got travel sick on the way back to the hotel.
Michelle was in Popstars reject band Liberty X
"Proving wine + Sun + jet lag don’t mix! She’s currently tucked up in bed having an early night!"
It was revealed back in November that the former Liberty X singer would replace fans' favourite Liz McClarnon on the international tour.
The Popstars singer has insisted Liz will remain as part of the trio's re-formed line-up for their UK shows, alongside Natasha and Kerry.
