And it could not have come at a better time for Kate, who will release her new album 9 Sad Symphonies next month.

A friend said: “Kate and Tom are engaged and are planning to get married later this year.

“They couldn’t be happier and are such a lovely couple.

“They have been quietly dating for several years and actually met when they were at school.

“Fate brought them back together and now things are great.

“It’s gearing up to be an amazing year for Kate.

“She’s got new music, a set at Glastonbury and will become Tom’s wife.”

In 2019 she said of Tom, who is training to be a horticulturist: “He’s the first boyfriend I’ve had that’s a really good person.

“It turned into a bit of a Notting Hill romcom accidentally.”

The singer’s 9 Sad Symphonies, her fifth studio album, is out on June 21.

Exclusive Kate Nash interview

It will be released five days before she will play the Other Stage at Worthy Farm in Somerset She will be hoping the record has the same kind of success as her debut album, Made Of Bricks, which went straight to No1 when it came out in 2007.

Kate split from her label and self-released her third and fourth records, the latter being called Yesterday Was Forever in 2018.

The latest single from her new album, Millions Of Heartbreaks, is a soulful track but shows Kate has lost none of her vocal charm, which fans fell in love with when she first hit the big time.

During a break from music, she made it big in America when she appeared opposite Alison Brie in the comedy drama series Glow, which was about a women’s professional wrestling circuit.

But I, for one, am glad Kate has returned to making great tunes.

It’s great to see her back at the top of her game.

But with a new album, Glastonbury and a wedding to plan, she is going to have one busy summer.

Eminem’s back

Eminem is back with new music and is embracing controversy

EMINEM has resurrected his alter ego Slim Shady and is causing more controversy than ever.

He dropped his new single Houdini yesterday and it featured a takedown of cancel culture and a dig at his own kids.

But it was his swipe at Megan Thee Stallion that really had people up in arms.

Eminem recreated scenes from songs The Real Slim Shady and Without Me in the video, including dressing as superhero Robin. Snoop Dogg even pops up in it.

He also references how Meg was shot in the foot by fellow rapper Tory Lanez in 2020.

Making light of the incident, for which Tory was sentenced to ten years in prison, he raps: “If I was to ask for Megan Thee Stallion if she would collab with me, would I really have a shot at a feat?”

The song borrows the melody from the Steve Miller Band’s 1982 song Abracadabra and sees him rap: “F*** my own kids, they’re brats.”

Later, he adds: “My s**t may not be age-appropriate but I will hit an eight-year-old in the face with a participation trophy.

“’Cause I have zero doubts that this whole world’s about to turn into some girl scouts.

“That censorship bureau’s out to shut me down.”

And towards the end, he raps: “F*** that, if I think that s**t, I’ma say that s**t.

“Cancel me, what? OK, that’s it.”

Fatboy Slim is appealing for help to catch yobs who trashed his business

FATBOY SLIM is gutted after three scumbags trashed his cafe in Brighton.

The DJ went on Instagram to share CCTV stills of a group of lads throwing bricks at the windows of the Big Beach Cafe, which he has owned since 2013.

He wrote: “Sorry we are unable to open our kitchen this morning as these three vile hooligans have caused ££££s of damage to our community business.

“Please share and get in touch with their details so we can prosecute them and make them pay for their actions.”

I hope they catch them.

Pop star Pixie Lott dressed to impress at an awards do in London

PIXIE LOTT scored a hat-trick of outfits at the 2024 Women’s Football Awards.

She walked the red carpet in a pale blue dress before switching into this sheer frock to perform – and then wore jeans and a shirt to leave the event in London.

The Mama Do singer hasn’t only been busy in the wardrobe department.

She became a mum last October, is shooting a film called Christmas Karma and has recently cleared her Instagram profile to tease a big announcement – expected to be her first album in a decade.

It’s fair to say Pixie’s got a Lott on.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock has hinted she is keen on having another baby

AFTER dropping her debut EP, Leigh-Anne Pinnock could soon have another new arrival if she gets her way.

The former Little Mix singer posed in this barely there leotard to promote the five-track collection No Hard Feelings, which came out yesterday.

It features recent releases Stealin’ Love and Forbidden Fruit, as well as one song called Anticipate, where she sings about wanting another baby with husband Andre Gray.

Addressing their long-distance relationship, Leigh-Anne, who already has twins with the footballer who plays in Saudi Arabia, sings: “I miss you in the worst way, especially with all the memories we just made.

“Might even make another baby.”

Other new releases this weekend include Becky Hill’s album Believe Me Now? and Adam Lambert’s racy songs Lube and Wet Dream, taken from an EP called Afters, which will be out on July 19.

Kendall up to more Bunny business

Kendall Jenner has rekindled her relationship with Bad Bunny

KENDALL JENNER has rekindled her romance with Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, six months after splitting up.

The model dated him for much of 2023 before splitting in December, but they are now back together.

A source said: “They took a break with their relationship because they weren’t seeing eye to eye.

“But the time apart made them re-evaluate what was important and now they are better than ever.

“They stayed in regular contact but are now a couple again after working through their differences.”

Kendall and Bad Bunny, above, make a good pair, especially given he is wildly successful around the world.

Although he hasn’t had any major hits in the UK, his album Un Verano Sin Ti is the most- streamed album on Spotify, with more than 16billion.

So while Kendall has plenty of dosh, he can also afford to splash out on their dates.
