Nick Gordon pays tribute to Whitney Houston on the five year anniversary of her death

Gordon was engaged to her daughter and was found legally responsible for Bobbi's death

NICK Gordon has paid tribute to Whitney Houston on the fifth anniversary of her death.

Gordon, who was raised by the late superstar and unofficially adopted by her from the age of 12, took to his Twitter page to share his thoughts.

He shared a photo of himself, Whitney and her daughter and his girlfriend Bobbi Kristina – who died in 2015 – to his page.

And he captioned it: “Can't believe it's been 5years.. I miss you. I know you and Kriss are enjoying each other up there.”

Whitney died on February 11 after she was found unconscious in the bath of her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton with heart disease and cocaine use listed as contributing factors.

Houston raised Gordon after her friend and his mother, Michelle Gordon, felt she could no longer care for her son.

He and her daughter Bobbi were like siblings but then started dating after Whitney’s death and announced their engagement in October 2012.

In January 2015, in circumstances eerily similar to her mother’s death, Bobbi was found unconscious in a bath in her home in Atlanta.

She spent the next six months in a coma and died in the July and a post-mortem determined that she had marijuana, alcohol, cocaine and morphine in her body.

Nick, who was there when she was found in the bath, was found legally responsible for her death after a wrongful death lawsuit was filed by Bobbi’s estate with support from her father Bobby Brown.

It claimed Gordon gave “Bobbi Kristina a toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious and then put her face down in a tub of cold water causing her to suffer brain damage.”

Gordon was ordered to pay £28.8 million in damages.
