CORONATION STREET SPOILER: Are Toyah Battersby and Toby Chapman getting back together? New pictures show estranged couple in intense chat

The characters were spotted having a heart-to-heart in scenes by the canal

TOYAH Battersby’s marriage to estranged husband Toby Chapman may not be over just yet as new pictures show the couple deep conversation and looking close.

The pair played by Georgia Taylor and Andrew Dowbiggin were spotted filming scenes by the canal for the Manchester based soap on Saturday and both looked emotional.

As the stood with their coffees Toyah looked like she was pouring her heart out to Toby, while he listened intently.

He was then seen tenderly putting his arm around her and Toyah certainly didn’t shy away from his embrace, hinting that the pair could reconcile.

Since Toyah returned to the cobbles on Christmas day she has been surrounded with drama and heartbreak.

She revealed that her marriage to Toby was over and then went on to have an affair with her sister Leanne’s ex-husband Peter Barlow.

However Toby soon arrived on the scene adding further confusion when he brought a letter from the IVF clinic wanting to know if they wanted to use their frozen embryos or dispose of them.

Will Toyah give her relationship with Toby another go to chase her chances of motherhood?

Georgia, 36, first appeared on Corrie as a teen in 1997 and left in 2003.

Before reprising the role 13 years later, she told Woman magazine that she felt “proud” she didn’t end up in rehab.

She said: “I feel proud of myself that I didn’t fall apart and end up in rehab.

“There was a huge amount of interest in the Battersbys and it was crazy at times, but I guess I was always just grateful to be working.”

She added: “I knew how lucky I was to be plucked straight out of school and given this amazing opportunity. I always felt like I didn’t want to jeopardise it.”
