BAFTA 2017 Leading Actress winner Emma Stone has awkward red carpet interview with Zoe Ball
The actress looked like she wanted to escape as she chatted to the TV presenter
EMMA Stone looked like she wanted to escape the red carpet during the BAFTAs on Sunday evening after an awkward interview with Zoe Ball.
The actress, who won the award for Leading Actress for her role in La La Land, was stopped by the TV presenter as she made her way into the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Emma said: “That’s what makes it exciting and ambitious and challenging and that’s part of the fun of getting to do this.”
Zoe then asked if she had her speech prepared for the moment she picked up her coveted award.
Looking a little bit bemused, Emma replied: “Oh god…”
She then awkwardly looked away and raised her eyebrows before she added: “We’ll see. You know, I’m just going to enjoy the show. That’s what I’m going to do.”
Then Zoe added: “I’ll just say the one word to you – Cruella.”
Zoe was referring to the news that Emma will play Cruella de Vil in Disney's upcoming 101 Dalmatians spin-off.
But she asked Zoe, “What about her?” as the host replied: “Is it coming soon?”
Emma said: “We will see, it’s very early so we’ll see how it all pans out.”

Then, as Emma looked around for her escape, Zoe added: “Looking forward to Battle of the Sexes too. Good luck tonight, hopefully we’ll see you later.”
Emma won the Leading Actress award and did have a speech prepared.
As she accepted the gong she said: "Thank you so much for this, this is an unbelievable honour."
Paying tribute to the director Damien Chazelle, who won Best Director, she added: "Damien, thank you this was one of the greatest working experience of my life.
"In a time that's so decisive, I think it's so special we are able to come together to celebrate the positive gift of creativity."
Sadly Emma's La La Land co-star Ryan Gosling could not attend the swanky ceremony.
A BAFTA spokesperson later revealed he had to leave the UK to attend to a “family matter”.
