STEPHANIE Davis and Jeremy McConnell are back on good terms after secret peace talks between their two camps – with friends predicting the pair may even rekindle a romance in the future.
The warring former couple are willing to put their differences aside after it emerged that Jeremy is the father of Stephanie’s son.
A source said: “Stephanie and Jeremy are back on speaking terms.
“They’re trying to rebuild a civilised relationship for the sake of Caben – they both knew that the situation had to change for things to move forward.
“It’s going to be a slow process but they’re gradually heading in the right direction.”
But close friends of the pair believe their truce could lead to further romance as the chemistry between them is still so strong.
A source said: “A few of their friends think something might even happen between them again in the future.
“Don’t be surprised to see them meeting up again – and there has always been a spark there even if it did end badly.
“Their friends just hope things can be civilised and they can move forwards.”
The first sign of a reunion came when Jeremy shared a photo of Caben on Twitter – captioning the image “I’ll love this monkey with every bit of me.”
Hollyoaks actress Stephanie has since refollowed Jeremy on Twitter and Instagram after previously banishing him from her social media pages.
Jeremy has reciprocated by following Stephanie back so suddenly the world can see that they’re connected again.
Last week Jeremy shared his anguish at being forced to watch his ex “parade baby Caben around like the FA Cup” and begged for her to give him a paternity test.
The former CBB star predicted he was the father telling the Sun Online: “I want the baby to be mine, I can see a resemblance.”
He admitted that their relationship turned toxic just weeks after leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house where they met and fell in love in front of the nation.
Their reconciliation could be just in time for the upcoming series of CBB that has been dubbed the show’s Summer Legend series.
The pair had been lined up for an explosive comeback to mark its 20th episode.
A source said: “Jeremy really enjoyed Celebrity Big Brother the first time round and would love to be a part of the Summer Legends series.
“A lot has happened since he last appeared on the show between him and Stephanie, but he knows them both joining the line-up would make incredible telly.”
