Joey Essex will regret his decision – he’s made a mistake, says dumped Islander Munveer Jabbal

Munveer defended the boys after they were accused of 'gaslighting'

DUMPED Love Island star Munveer Jabbal has insisted that Joey Essex will "regret his decision" after he ditched Samantha Kenny for ex Grace Jackson.

Last night, Samantha was dumped from the villa after Grace decided to recouple with Joey, leaving the Liverpudlian makeup artist single.

Munveer, who was sent packing last week alongside Patsy Field, said Towie star Joey should have handled the situation better after making "mistakes".

Speaking exclusively to The Sun: "It was a tough watch last night as Samantha is a lovely girl and I feel that Joey could have handled it better.

"I think he'll back and go 'I made a mistake', just in the way he handled it.

"At the end of the day you've got to go with your feelings."

He continued: "I think Samantha's got a lot of pride and she obviously felt embarrassed and she's going to walk away from it stronger."

When asked if Sam and Joey lacked chemistry, Munveer said: "I think Samantha said it herself, there was no physical touch or intimacy.

"If you're not doing that in two weeks, that's a sign.

"And you're doing that with Grace, tells you everything you need to know."

Munveer was also quick to defend his fellow villa boys after some fans accused them of "gaslighting" the girls.

He explained: "I think gaslighting is the wrong terminology, it's really hard to say."

Although Joey appears smitten with ex flame Grace, Munveer insisted that no one is safe at this stage.

He told us: "I think everyone's head can turn in there, Casa Amor is around the corner and that will be the real test."

Unfortunately Munveer's villa journey is over, but the star said he'd have no doubts about returning for the All Stars series.

"If I'm single for All Stars, I'll do it," he said.

"You'll see more of me. Now that I know what it's about, baring in mind I've never watched an episode in my life.

"It was a good opportunity to meet the love of your life and have a whirlwind experience over summer."

Samantha was sent packing during last night's recoupling.

Following her departure, Samantha said: "Obviously I am devastated to leave all of the girls behind but I am very excited now to see what my future holds and look forward to seeing what is next.

"I was true to myself and didn't feel like it was a waste of my time because I followed what I felt was right for me.

"When it comes to Joey, I think if I knew what I know now, I perhaps would have done things differently."

Samantha made the mistake of putting all her eggs in one basket even though another land caught her eye.

"Ronnie’s more my type than Joey was," she said. "But I feel like Ronnie didn’t pursue anything with me because he didn’t want to go up against Joey."

Sam admitted her highlight was making such good friends, while other aspects of her experience were "s***e".
