Kourtney Kardashian details 7-month-old son Rocky’s ‘terrifying’ & ‘rare’ condition that led to emergency fetal surgery
IN SEPTEMBER 2023, Kourtney Kardashian had emergency fetal surgery that saved her son, Rocky's life.
Months after his birth, Kourtney detailed Rocky's "rare" and "terrifying" condition that led to the operation.
Kourtney spoke candidly about the harrowing event on the June 20 episode of The Kardashians.
"We had a terrifying scare," Kourtney recalled on the episode.
"It's super rare — the condition that he had — but it's also super rare and lucky that we caught it.
"Thank you, God, for a successful surgery. I'm honestly just so grateful. I have no words."
Kourtney went on to say that his condition started creeping back up after his surgery; however, the Poosh founder switched up her mindset during their troubling time.
"The fluid in his lungs actually did start coming back," she recalled. "Then I watched this documentary called Heal that was all about the power of positive thinking and how our thinking can really affect our health.
"I started talking to the baby every day — saying my prayers.
"After I had that mindset shift, the fluid was completely gone and we had not one single problem after."

IVF JOURNEY
Before she became pregnant with Rocky, Kourtney and Travis underwent IVF as the couple were dedicated to starting a family of their own.
During season three of The Kardashians, Kourtney revealed she and her rockstar husband were "officially done with IVF."
"We would love a baby more than anything but I just really believe in what God has in store for us.
"If that's a baby then I believe that it will happen."
Kourtney went on to say she had her eggs frozen years before her relationship with Travis.
"Before Travis, when I was 38 or 39, everyone was, like, pushing me to do that, and most of mine didn't survive the thaw because eggs are one cell, and none of them made it to an embryo," she revealed.
She went on to educate Kardashian fans about the reality of IVF, saying freezing eggs "isn't guaranteed."
