Towie’s Lauren Goodger looks emotional after spending Valentine’s Day visiting jailbird boyfriend Joey Morrison in prison

LAUREN Goodger spent Valentine’s Day in the visitor’s room at HMP Highpoint South with her boyfriend Joey Morrison.

The loved up couple’s relationship has blossomed despite Joey being locked up since before they met.

On Tuesday morning, Lauren shared a picture of an expensive looking bunch of flowers which her jailbird lover had sent.

She told her followers: “I love you and thank you @m_joey1 the little surprises that make you feel appreciated…”

Lauren made sure she completed the four hour round trip to spend time with the 30-year-old, arriving at prison in Newmarket looking made up and glamorous.

When she left it was a different story however, as Lauren became visibly emotional after bidding farewell to Joey.

Walking out of the jail and into the car park, Lauren appeared to be wiping away tears as she headed for her car.

She also appeared to be carrying what seemed to be a white bin bag stuffed full of Joey’s laundry.

In her column, the reality star had gushed about spending time with the convict.

Lauren wrote: “I’m on planning on spending the day with Joey, which will be lovely.

“I obviously got him a card – he always gets cards from me – and he can buy them in there for me too.

“We’ve spent every milestone holiday together since we started dating – birthdays, Christmas, New Year. The only one left is Easter.”

Lauren also spent time at HMP Highpoint South on Monday.

She dressed up in her finest for her visit, teaming a pair of knee high grey boots with a faux fur gilet.

In her column, Lauren also opened up to readers about the flashy ring Joey had gifted to her at Christmas, explaining it was an eternity ring.

“I was pictured wearing a diamond ring on my wedding finger when visiting Joey last week. He bought it for me at Christmas. It’s an eternity ring, which is why I like to wear it on my left hand.”

Lauren first showed off the expensive looking bit of jewellery over Christmas, showing it off to her fans on Instagram.

She wrote next to the picture of her hand: “Love my beautiful diamond ring!”

The Towie star has always been open about her relationship with Joey, giving a candid insight into their love life during an appearance on Channel 5’s In Therapy.

She said: “This is the weirdest relationship ever but it’s exciting and I think that’s what I like.

“It is different and he’s my type and everything.”

Lauren’s pals appeared to have their reservations about Joey however, with her friend Jodie Wheeler saying: “He's very controlling.

“He wants her to do things she wouldn’t do for somebody else. But she likes that.”

“He’s a bad boy and he gives off this bad boy image – he’s a good looking boy and he’s in prison.”

Despite their lack of contact, with Lauren admitting: “nothing intimate has happened between us,” the 30-year-old is besotted.

She later explained she speaks to Joey “all day every day” to reassure him about her day to day life.

During her appearance on the show, Lauren's friends also revealed she was planning to have Joey's baby while he was on day release.

Lauren's pal Jodie explained: “She wants to have a baby while he comes out on day release so she’ll be doing the pregnancy all by herself.

“I don’t think she sees it like he’s in prison, I think she sees it like he’s coming out soon.”
