Danny Miller NOT leaving Emmerdale despite Aaron Dingle being behind bars as writer confirms ‘we will follow him in jail’
Contrary to reports the actor will remain on the ITV soap as his character is sent to prison
DANNY Miller is NOT leaving Emmerdale it has been confirmed.
The actor - who plays Aaron Dingle in the ITV soap - will be sentenced to a year in prison for the brutal beating of Kasim Sabet but despite claims he had quit the role, the star will remain with the show and be seen in prison.
One of the show's writers confirmed: "We'll follow Aaron in prison, don't worry."
It comes as it was confirmed Aaron's friends and family would be left devastated when he's sent down for 12 months for the assault.
The shock sentence comes after the police interrupt Aaron's wedding to Robert Sugden.
The businessman - who is played by actor Ryan Hawley - has set up boyfriend Aaron (Danny Miller) with his perfect wedding as a total surprise in The Woolpack, but when police arrive, the couple panic Aaron will be arrested before he can get down the aisle.
"Aaron totally didn't see this wedding coming. He honestly thought Robert proposed as a way of shutting him up after they'd argued about Rebecca.
"So when he goes and organises everything behind Aaron's back, it comes as a big shock.
"But if the police arriving means that the marriage can't go ahead before he gets sent to prison, Aaron will be left feeling like he and Robert have got unfinished business."
Robert originally planned to propose in a romantic woodland ceremony, but Aaron's kidnapping of Lachlan White put paid to that.
Then when he confessed what he had been planning the pair ended up in the horror car crash pile up.
When Aaron eventually came to in hospital he told Robert yes but then suffered an attack leaving Robert terrified over losing him.
The couple, known as Robron to fans, later began planning their wedding when Robert proposed again during an argument about his ex Rebecca White.
But their plans were thrown into turmoil when Aaron unleashed some repressed rage on Kasim Sabet when he came across him fighting with ex Finn Barton.
Now facing prison for the assault, Aaron will be shocked when he discovers that Robert has planned the entire wedding for the Woolpack for before he goes to prison again.
Ryan Hawley revealed: "Robert and Aaron love each other very much. They've been together and supported each other for a long time now.
"The wedding has been a little bit out of control, because Aaron is facing charges for assaulting Kasim. His trial is coming up and he'll be hearing his sentence.
"Aaron doesn't have any time before he goes to prison so Robert gets the idea of showing his commitment to Aaron before that. He wants to show Aaron how much he means to him - and how he wants them to be a little family with Liv.
- Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV at 7pm
