Liam Payne pictured partying with friends at London nightclub until 2.30am but refuses to answer questions about pregnant girlfriend Cheryl

LIAM Payne partied with friends at a London nightclub until the early hours of the morning, but remained tight-lipped when questioned about his pregnant girlfriend Cheryl last night.

The One Direction singer was snapped as he left celeb hot spot Tape nightclub with three pals after the night out, just hours after meeting Drake at his gig.

Wearing head-to-toe black and a baseball cap, the star kept his head down as he passed cameras following the appearance.

But when questioned about his pregnant girlfriend Cheryl, Liam remained tight-lipped and gave nothing away.

It came after the singer sent fans into a frenzy after posting a picture with Drake from earlier in the night.

The former One Direction star headed to see the Hotline Bling performer in concert at London's O2 on Wednesday night and caught up with the star backstage.

Captioning the black and white snap of them posing together, Liam wrote: "great to see a genius at work last night" with a fire emoji at the end.

There was no sign of Cheryl, 33, who could well have been resting up at home ahead of their impending arrival.

But fans still got excited by the photograph as they speculated that Liam and Drake could be collaborating on music together.

One follower wrote: "If yall collaborate I'm gonna explode", while another added "Collab! Collab!! Collab!!!"

A third added: "Waiting for the collab!(u both will sound awesome together!)".

Liam is currently working on music for his highly anticipated solo career and has spent lots of time in Los Angeles recording in recent weeks.

While the couple are yet to publicly confirm when she's expecting their baby, Twitter users claimed last week that Liam had jetted back from the States.

And one claimed Cheryl's long social media silence only added to the rumours, writing: "Cheryl has been gone from social media for over a month. I'm pretty sure that means she's gonna have this baby soon."

And some fans even claimed to have Liam's flight information, with one tweeting: "If you wanna catch Liam Payne at Heathrow he is ok American Airlines 108! Terminal 3, leaving LAX in 40 minutes! Go go go."
