Pink cancels huge gig just hours before hitting the stage after falling ill
The shock news is set to devastate fans who'd been keen to see her live
PINK has cancelled a huge gig tomorrow night after falling ill.
Insiders told The Sun the American superstar had been told not to perform by her medical team.
Pink has just finished her Summer Carnival Tour shows in the UK and is now touring around Europe.
The cancelled concert was in Bern, capital of Switzerland.
A source said: “Pink has cancelled her show in Bern on doctor’s orders.
“She has been working so hard on the road and the performances are always high octane with loads of stunts.
“This, naturally, takes a toll on her and she has been advised to take a break.
“The call to cancel the gig was a hard one for her to make because she hates letting down her fans.”
Pink’s next concert is scheduled to take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, on Saturday.
The singer – whose hits include So What?, Who Knew?, You Make Me Sick, and Raise Your Glass – has become known for her high octane stunts while performing.
This has often included death-defying wirework, with Pink flying and spinning over the heads of her audience.
In a statement, the tour promoter said: It is with great regret that we have to cancel Pink’s concert on Wednesday, 3 July at the Wankdorf Stadium in Bern.
“Due to illness and after a thorough medical examination, the performance has to be cancelled on doctor’s advice.
“Unfortunately, the concert cannot be rescheduled due to the current tour planning.
“Tickets can be returned at the place of purchase.
“We deeply regret the circumstances and thank you for your understanding.
“We wish Pink a speedy and full recovery.”
Last month Pink took some time out with her two children to explore the UK while performing here.
She was spotted by fans in London’s West End after watching Matilda the musical with her children.
And Pink also took a trip to Stonehenge, where she filmed herself dancing next to the historical landmark.
