Britney Spears’ fans vent fury at biopic that dredges up ‘sex tape’ past and features bizarre ‘farewell dance-off’ with Justin Timberlake

Viewers slam the Lifetime TV movie which shows events leading up to the Pop Princess' meltdown

BRITNEY Spears' fans have expressed their anger at the new Lifetime biopic of the events leading up to her famous meltdown.

Scenes in the unofficial account of the singer's life show revelations about her "sex tape" and also includes a bizarre dance off with former love Justin Timberlake.

But the new made for TV movie has NOT gone down well with her adoring fans.

Taking to Twitter her hardcore army slammed the movie.

One tweeted: "Watching #BritneyEverAfter & i am GASPING, this ain't right y'all, she does NOT deserve THIS!!"

Another said: "Who would authorise this? #BritneyEverAfter"

This one tweeted: "Oops.. Lifetime did it again... and created another trash biopic of an absolute legend #BritneyEverAfter"

While this one said: "I really can't stomach this  #BritneyEverAfter"

Britney herself is said to be livid, a close friend said: “She is mortified that her worst moment is being dredged up again in front of millions of fans.”

The film opens with the Britney being interviewed for a documentary in the year following her highly publicised, head-shaving meltdown, and kept cutting to “flashbacks” to fill in the blanks.

The first half concentrates on the  the Princess of Pop (played by Australian actress Natasha Bassett) and her relationship with Justin Timberlake (Nathan Keyes).

The film shows Justin winning over Britney when he referred to her as the “bomb diggity” before her first concert opening for NSYNC.

Although the biopic doesn't show them making the infamous "sex tape", it is refereed to when its realised it has been stolen.

Following their breakup, the film shows Britney and Justin running into each other at a nightclub and having a dance-off that abruptly ends when JT leaves mid-dance.

Their eventual breakup was depicted as the reason Britney went on to make a number of questionable choices in the years that followed, including her decision to elope with the childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander and her subsequent marriage to backup dancer Kevin Federline - where she is shown breaking up with him by text which read "I Wnt 2 Dvrce U".

The closing scene jumps ahead to the year 2015, which shows that Britney has successfully conquered her demons and has moved on to a successful Las Vegas residency.

Britney Ever After receives its UK premiere next Sunday (February 26) at 9pm on Lifetime.
