Katie Price reveals ‘worst part’ of spending the night in a police cell after drug and booze fuelled car crash

It came after she admitted she hopped into her car following an emotional phone call

KATIE Price has opened up on the worst part of being banged up after her drink-driving crash three years ago.

Earlier this week, we exclusively reported how the mum of five, 46, had admitted to boozing and taking cocaine before the horror collision in September 2021.

Katie's BMW vehicle flipped onto its side during the accident in Horsham.

She was then disqualified from driving for two years but was spared jail - with the judge suggesting the mum of five thought she was "above the law."

Now she has revealed the worst part of her arrest in her new book This Is Me - and it's not what fans might think.

Recalling the aftermath of the incident she wrote: "The police officer had just brought me in a hot chocolate which was nice, but the food was rank.

"They offer you something to eat when you are in a police cell and I chose the cottage pie but it was disgusting.

"It was so rank even I couldn’t eat it and I have been in the jungle and eaten f**king kangaroo testicles."

Katie met her former husband Peter Andre - dad to her kids Princess and Junior - on ITV reality series I'm A Celeb back in 2004.

In accompanying chapters of her new tome she let slip more detail of the wild night that preceded her getting into her car.

She admitted she'd "had some friends round for a few hours" on the night of the smash.

She said: "One of them had some coke on them and, yes, I had a little bit of it, probably a couple of lines, it wasn't even a lot.

"I had some alcohol too."

She then told how it was a call from daughter Princess, now 17, which prompted her to get behind the wheel.

Katie said: "I could tell she was upset so I asked her what was wrong. My daughter was ringing to tell me she wasn't allowed to see me and my heart just broke."

Admitting that she "wasn't thinking straight", Katie added: "I needed to go right that minute and I didn't care that it was 2am. I didn't care about anything anymore."

Katie Price - FOUR recent court battles

KATIE Price has had her fair share of brushes with the law. Here we detail four of those:

Katie was spared jail for the crash and was instead handed a 16-week prison sentence suspended for a year, 100 hours community service and ordered to attend 20 rehab sessions.

Elsewhere in her new memoir Katie reflects on the death of one of her animals, after a petition to stop her owning pets recently soared to more than 36k signatures.

The former Loose Women panelist recently told The Sun that the new book carries a warning to readers because of the traumatic content.

She said: "There's actually a warning at the beginning of the book that you could get PTSD from reading it, because it's quite a serious book."
