Watch Katy Perry dishing out shots to tourists in Barcelona after teasing new track ahead of musical comeback
Katy is rumoured to have shot a video in Barcelona at the weekend
KATY PERRY has been sunning herself across Europe for the past fortnight while promoting her music comeback.
That included posing with inflatables from a location she dubbed “Planet Unbothered” on Instagram following criticism of her single Woman’s World.
But her fans are now in a frenzy over another song called Lifetimes, which is already being tipped to be a late summer smash hit.
Katy has been teasing the track at listening events for her biggest admirers and on Sunday night played it at a club in Barcelona, where she was seen dancing and handing out shots.
Despite heading to a load of sun-soaked locations including St Tropez and Paris, she will have to make do with the UK this week, as her next stop on the promo trail will be here.
In the dance-pop banger – which appears to be about her fiancé Orlando Bloom – she sings: “I know you feel it, can you believe it? I’m gonna love you ’til the end and then repeat it.”
At another point in the track, she continues: “Baby, you and me for infinity. My eternity, my eternity.”
Katy is rumoured to have shot a video in Barcelona at the weekend and I’m hoping it is for this song, which ought to be her next single.
If anyone is going to get me up and dancing this summer, it’s Katy.
She’s Soph well-suited
SOPHIE TURNER might have been dishing out awards to polo players at the Cowdray Park Gold Cup in Petworth, West Sussex but she only had eyes on one prize – boyfriend Peregrine Pearson.
After a monumentally rubbish year, which saw Sophie split from husband Joe Jonas, her new man has certainly giving her something to smile about.
When the Game Of Thrones star wasn’t handing out enormous trophies, she could barely keep her hands off the aristocrat – whose family own the estate where the event was held.
I first revealed how Sophie had found love again with Peregrine back in November.
At the time, people close to Sophie – who wore a cute pinstripe blazer and shorts co-ord at the weekend – told me how the pair had been introduced through friends before hitting it off.
Then in May, Sophie opened up about the fallout from her marriage breakdown and said she’d finally got back to her best, telling Vogue: “I’m actually the happiest I’ve been in a really long time.
“I’m starting over again, rediscovering what I like to do, who I like to be with.”
Jamie’s back on top
IT’S back to business for Jamie Foxx who is looking on top form again after a frightening health scare last year.
He smiled for photographers as he headed out for dinner at Nobu in Malibu with girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp.
Last April Jamie was admitted to hospital. Recalling how he had a headache, he said: “I asked my boy for an Advil,” before admitting: “I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything.”
Jamie was forced to put movie Back In Action with Cameron Diaz on hold, while he recovered.
But now he’s fit and healthy, I’m sure we will be seeing a lot more of Jamie – especially with the film due to be released later this year.
Prodigy wave day for Circa
FRIDAY’s IT crisis caused a nightmare for British band Circa Waves, when they had two flights cancelled and missed their slot at Deichbrand Festival in Germany at the weekend.
But I’ve learned The Prodigy were their lifesavers – and gave them a lift.
They heard about the predicament and invited them on their private jet, so they were able to get there in time to perform in a later slot.
Circa Waves said: “We were stranded without a hope in the world. Like our guardian electronic angels, The Prodigy flew in and picked us up.
“Without them we would’ve been stuck in Heathrow and missed our show, we can’t thank them enough! Long live The Prodigy.”
Hear, hear.
JAMES BAY has teamed up with The Killers’ Brandon Flowers to write his new album.
The English singer-songwriter has just announced his fourth album Changes All The Time will be out on September 20 and will include new single Up All Night with Noah Kahan and The Lumineers.
James, who will tour the UK next February, said: “Making this album felt like my first taste of musical freedom. With the help of my co-producer, Gabe Simon, I found the courage to make what I wanted to make in ways I never have before.”
Perrie’ll have mix in tears
PERRIE EDWARDS is determined to make her Little Mix bandmates cry with her new music.
She has penned a song called Goodbye My Friend, which is all about her pals Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall.
The Tears singer said: “It is kind of like a little love song to them.
“I’m waiting for the right moment because I know what they’re like, they’re going to cry, so I want to see them in person [to play it].”
He’s not Joshing over
FANS of Queens of the Stone Age had to wait six years before the band released a new album – last year’s In Times New Roman.
But frontman Josh Homme has promised they definitely won’t have to wait that long for their next record.
He said: “There was too much time in between the last record and this one.
“The goal is to make things and enjoy that process and so I’m going to roll up my sleeves and jump right into this.”
On DJ Nick Grimshaw and chef Angela Hartnett’s Dish from Waitrose podcast, Josh opened up about Dave Grohl and said the Foo Fighters’ frontman helped make the band the success they are today.
Josh joked: “I’ll only crawl up in his a** real quick.
“No one has done more for me in my career than Dave, as a mouthpiece of just telling people, ‘You gotta hear this guy,’ than Dave has.
“He definitely told the world about me and my vast and endless well of talent, and he’s just always been like a brother.”
