Pregnant Beyonce forced to cancel Coachella headlining gig under doctors orders

BEYONCE has been forced to pull out of headlining the Coachella Festival on doctors orders.

The 35-year-old is currently pregnant with twins, was set to be the star attraction this year at the annual event in California, but will now headline the 2018 festival instead.

In a statement to the Associated Press on Thursday, Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment and festival producer Goldenvoice explained why the star had to withdraw from her commitment.

It said: “Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyonce has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.

“However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding.”

It has not been revealed who will replace Beyonce as the headline act on her two dates, however Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar are also top of the bill on the two weekend event.

The British band will play April 14 and 21, while US superstar Lamar will take the April 16 and 23 slots.

Beyonce was set to perform her first ever Coachella gig on April 15 and 23 but will now have to wait another year to make her debut.

Her decision comes almost two weeks after she debuted her impressive bump at the Grammy Awards, where she sang her new song, Mother’s Pride.

Wearing a gold sparkling gown which features sheer detailing, the stars figure was on full display.

Wearing an elaborate gold head dress, the star put on an ethereal performance with a number of dancers in flowing gowns dancing around her surrounded by flowers.

The performance also featured video footage of Beyonce with her bare bump on display being draped in fabric as more women appeared around her.

At the end of the song, the star grinned and blew lots of kisses to her husband and five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, who was sat in the audience cheering her on.
