Coronation Street spoilers: Michelle Connor to kick husband Steve McDonald and mum Liz out as she takes the Rovers Return after marriage split

MICHELLE Connor is taking over the Rovers Return in Coronation Street.

The barmaid – who is played by actress Kym Marsh – discovered her husband was the father of Leanne Battersby’s baby Oliver and she’s set to take his pub away in revenge for the humiliation.

Spoiler pictures released by the ITV soap show the moment Michelle, backed by the other Connors, barricading herself in the pub and locking Steve and his mum Liz out.

The scenes which will air on Monday night see Michelle decide to take action to force Steve to give her a divorce and half of his assets.

It comes after Michelle left husband Steve McDonald in Coronation Street after he publicly announced he was the father of baby Oliver.

As the couple – who are played by Kym Marsh and Simon Gregson – enjoyed a meal out at the bistro, they were interrupted by Leanne Battersby and Nick Tilsley’s party to celebrate baby Oliver’s birth with the Platt family.

However, as the party continued and the family started to take pictures, Michelle looked on to the baby but when David handed Steve the baby to help clear up some broken glasses, he couldn’t help but confess his secret.

“I’m so sorry, this is my son,” he said as Leanne and the Platts looked on confused..

After Steve confessed the shocking secret to Michelle, and the entire Platt family, she fled to the bathroom and threw up.

As Leanne tried to explain what happened between her and Steve, Michelle unleashed her rage.

“What kind of a woman are you?” she raged at Leanne. “We celebrated our pregnancies together. Seeing you pregnant made me want to have another baby and you tried to talk me out of it.

“And then two days ago you handed me my husband’s baby when my baby had died. Why mine? Why Ruairi? Why could your baby not have died?”

Michelle’s devastation continued with her becoming convinced that Steve didn’t care that his baby had died because he “had a spare with Oliver”.

Leanne continued to try and convince Michelle that Steve really does love her.

“Do you know what we were talking about this morning? We were talking about trying again for a bay. I talked myself out of it because I still love my Ruairi and it kills me every day that he’s not here.

“That pain is the only thing that I have left of him.”

With that she hit Leanne sending her flying backwards before fleeing from the Bistro.

Running out of the Bistro, Steve chased after a devastated Michelle and begged her to stay with him.

“I did a stupid thing but you were gone, I didn’t know she was going to get pregnant,” Steve said as Michelle reeled off a list of names of Steve’s exes – Karen, Becky etc – and told him the story will never change for him.

Walking into the Rovers, Michelle screamed the couple’s business to all the customers and destroyed Steve and called him out for it before throwing glasses at him.

After the emotional outburst Michelle told Steve she was leaving him, insisting he had “killed them” before walking into the street and sobbing on the floor.
