JEREMY McConnell has signed up for the new series of Ex On The Beach - just days after love rival Sam Reece was revealed to be 'in talks' to appear on the show.

The Irishman, 27, could be set to come face to face with Stephanie Davis' ex for the first time since he romped with Sam's then-girlfriend on national television last January.

Steph, 23, was in a longterm relationship with former First Dates contestant Sam when she entered the CBB compound.

But despite claiming that she loved him, within days she  had fallen for Jeremy, and betrayed Sam in front of the cameras... and the country.

'Jephanie' are now parents to six-week old Caben-Albi, and have spent the last two weeks picking up where they left off after Jeremy cut all contact with her when she discovered she was pregnant.

With so much drama away from the cameras, it's no surprise MTV bosses are expecting fireworks when the new series airs.

A show insider exclusively told The Sun online: "MTV bosses have wanted to get Jez on the show for years but finally they've signed him up.

"He's the ultimate lad, and producers know it's a dead cert that he'll charm the ladies, have a good craic with the boys, and be a hit with viewers.

"Everyone knows he's a bit of a ladies' man, but it'll be astounding to see just how many exes come out of the sea for him.

"The one ex everyone will want to see is Steph - but she could be coming out for Sam Reece who's in talks for the show.

"Even if she doesn't emerge from the waves, just the possibility of Jeremy and Sam living under the same roof in the show's luxury villa is going to be enough reason to tune in.

"This is going to be the best series yet."

The Sun revealed that Sam had been approached by MTV to feature on the show and finally be given a platform to speak out about his ex.

When Steph entered the CBB house last January, she revealed she expected Sam to propose to her in the not too distant future.

The former lovers haven't spoken since the very public split, but Sam has made several barbed comments about her and Jeremy on Twitter, which could cause tensions in the villa to bubble over.

It might come as a shock to fans of Steph and Jez who have been treated to several sightings of them looking closer and happier than ever over the past two weeks.

But although it might look like the warring exes have picked up where they left off, the dynamic between them has definitely changed since the birth of Caben.

A friend of the couple explained: "Now Jeremy and Steph have put their differences behind them, it's time for him to get back to work and provide for his family.

"While fans really want to see them back together, it is really early days for them and for the moment their priority is Caben.

"Stephanie knows he is doing the show and is happy for him to take part - but is aware it might make for hard viewing.

"Although she still has feelings for him, she wants both of them to be out earning so they can give their son a fantastic future.

"How Jeremy behaves on Ex On The Beach will shape their future together - this is the real make or break situation."

One thing's for sure, Jeremy owns so many vests viewers won't see him in the same one twice.
