Nominee Taraji P. Henson kept this classic with a black velvet Alberta Ferretti gown.
The actress oozed sex appeal in her plunging off-the-shoulder gown which featured a classy thigh high split.

ACLU stands for The American Civil Liberties Union and the ribbons are in support of the new “Stand with ACLU” initiative.
The campaign was launched last week and Hollywood stars are being encouraged to wear the ribbon as an act of solidarity with the organisation which has campaigned for nearly 100 years to defend and protect the individual civil rights of citizens.
Irish-Ethiopian actress Ruth Negga was also seen with the blue ribbon pinned onto her striking red dress.
Best Actress nominee Ruth, who is nominated for her role in drama Loving, described the film as a "once in a lifetime opportunity".
She told E!: "Films you've either watched or been in, they stay with you and leave residue with you.
"This is one of those films, I don't think it'll ever leave me."
