Oscars 2017 worst dressed sees Scarlett Johansson, Dakota Johnson and Leslie Mann among the stars to get it all wrong on the red carpet
It was Hollywood's biggest night but some A-listers made their biggest fashion mistakes on the red carpet
DAKOTA Johnson led the stars who failed to get it right in the fashion stakes on the Oscars red carpet.
The Fifty Shades of Grey star looked like she was auditioning for a role in a period drama as she attended the 89th Academy Awards on Sunday in a silk Gucci gown.
With a high ruffled neck, bow peplum detailing and long sleeves, the 27-year-old disguised her stunning figure in the champagne coloured dress.
With her hair pulled back half off her face and natural looking makeup, Dakota lacked something of the razzle dazzle fitting of an Oscars ensemble.
One person who went too far with the drama was Leslie Mann, who appeared to be channelling Belle in Beauty and The Beast vibes in her yellow strapless gown by Zac Posen.

The dress featured a full skirt with lots of tucked in sections as well as a bow detail at the chest.
Elsewhere, Scarlett Johansson flashed too much in an unforgiving printed pink dress.
With a thigh split up the side, the star showed off an under-skirt as she posed in front of the cameras.
Ginnifer Goodwin also stood out for all the wrong reasons in a bright red lace gown by Zuhair Murad.
The dress featured long sleeves and a high neck, but coupled with the actress' extremely short hair just looked a little too severe.
Last year's Best Supporting Actress Alicia Vikander made a rare fashion misstep in her black lace gown.
The tiered detailing of the skirt, which also featured a slightly raised hemline at the front, had a hint of saloon girl about it, but seemed to throw the beauty's body proportions off.
However she did salvage the outfit in a small way with her beautiful diamond necklace and glowing, natural looking makeup.
Another former Oscar winner to get it wrong was Halle Berry, who looked almost unrecognisable with her wild natural curls and mocha coloured dress with black criss cross detailing.
The star needed a pop of colour about her makeup to try and balance the look out, but unfortunately she looked a bit washed out.
